CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 41 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy installation I installed this in about 2 hours. Did not install a door as the one there was sufficient. A swing down door would have been very complicated in this instance. Only want would be a higher weight rating. April 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what my attic needed This compact ladder is easy to install. It's slick how it telescopes to the ground and then pushes back up into the attic space. I installed it in my garage after I put plywood in the rafters. Be careful that it only holds 255 pounds, enough for me, but heavier people should get something more heavy duty if they are going to carry objects up the ladder. It is light weight. I didn't put a cover or door on the ladder, and it easily comes down with the supplied pole. Going to get another to put in my hall way for attic access there. Takes up much less space than the wood ladders, and is very convenient. This is a real buy for $89. January 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product! Super easy to install. Installed in existing opening where I had always used a ladder. Mounted it to the left side to get bulky items up and down easier. Went in in about an hour. Should have got one years ago. March 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by When you need to fit the attic access in a tight location, this will do it. I took it for granted that any ol' attic ladder would work, until I tried to install one. Found out quickly that the pull-down, swing out style uses a ton of space and rather than pulling the unit in the front room, gave the compact ladder a go. Although it doesn't "work" as easy as the regular ladders, it was fairly simple to put together and install. Note: you will need a flat floor area in the attic, as well as space to swing it up and down. Much more sturdy than it looks, rated at 250#. October 21, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good attic access ladder Easy to install, a bit narrow but well worth it if you have a small opening to your attic. Load capacity is good, the ladder looks flimsy but is surprisingly strong. The hinges they give you for the access door (you provide the door because they don't know the size of your opening) are a bit on the flimsy side. The hook to pull and push the ladder is plastic so be gentle, should have been made of metal and the rod the hook attaches to is not very strong so same caution. Overall it is a good deal.
