Solid product. Safe stable platform for dealing with home chores when you get older and are less steady on your feet.

Bought the 10ft, 6ft and 5ft Werner podium ladders for my garage door business. After 5 months of regular use, I have never been more impressed or more importantly, safer! With this business you are constantly on ladders, to me this is the most dangerous part. The podium ladders, gives you a solid platform to work on and more reach to get the job done. Also the platform on the smaller ladders can act as a work bench, which is handy to have. I plan on getting the 12 ft. as well. Great ladders!

I have to carry my ladder around a lot for various jobs, but I usually don't need a very tall ladder. I do however need the flexibility to move around, while feeling safe about what I'm balancing on. This ladder is perfect for my needs because the large platform makes me feel much more secure while reaching around up high. It is also lighter weight than my previous ladder which had more steps that I didn't need. When I'm done, I can simply fold it up and store it away.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ToolTimeTony Stable work platform, versatile ladder
Excellent step ladder with platform third step for applications where you will be in one spot and want a stable work platform. Almost like having a mini scaffold about 35 inches off the ground. Easily paint a 9 foot ceiling using this ladder, or install drapes, etc. Top of ladder offers tool storage as well as a curved recess for leaning against the ladder, making you feel very secure. Very well constructed, heavy duty, and very stable ladder. Top of ladder is about 6 feet from the ground. There are no steps higher than the platform, limiting the work height to the equivalent of a conventional five foot step ladder.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by WalterB Very sturdy!
This is every bit as sturdy as I had hoped. Be aware it is bigger than I thought a 3-ft ladder would be, but that is because the sides continue up well beyond the platform to give a firm area to hold or lean against. This is perfect for old folks (my wife and I) to use around the house, or our son (without balance) to reach his upper book shelves.
I don't know why Home Depot estimated and took over a month to deliver it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hawk Exc. ladder for high ceilings
Very sturdy and easy to open/close. Base (opened legs) takes up much less room than old 10' std ladder, yet ladder feels far more stable. Foot treads seem deeper, too, allowing for easier ascent and descent. Platform increases security & allows user to turn safely in different directions.
What we disliked was: 1) No real tray--just a wider bar with a slot & couple of holes, insufficient to hold work mtrls & at >$300, a snap-on tray should have been provided for paints, etc.; 2) Item arrived unboxed with scratches, so we think it was shipped or stored 'naked'; 3) Be careful giving HD & contractors your e-mail # as you will be besieged with spam.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ranger Great ladder
I set up and decorate big artificial Christmas trees. Purchased the 9' podium ladder and loved it and then purchased the 12' ladder for my 16' - 20' trees. When standing on the podium, it's incredibly stable and it's nice because I have both hands free to use to put ornaments on. I no longer have to go up and down the ladder with one bulb, I fill a sack and hang them off the top of the ladder.
I use to borrow my brothers 16' ladder, which is difficult to move around by myself. But this 12' ladder is easy to maneuver and carry. It's a great buy and a great price and I received it 2 weeks earlier than expected.
