Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ross Not a leveler, really a kit to modify your ladder
This isn't a ladder leveler. This is a collection of parts and detailed-but-daunting instructions for modifying your ladder to be levelable. If you're expecting an out-of-the-box install, run away while you still can.
When Werner says "It easily attaches to Werner fiberglass and aluminum extension ladders ..." and "... quick and easy setup", they couldn't be more wrong. This isn't an easy setup - you're expected to drill out riveted parts from your ladder, hacksaw the bottom off, possibly cut holes over an inch in diameter in the ladder, and that's just to do the initial installation. There are 10 pages of dense instructions warning you at every step that messing up will risk your life. Not to mention possibly destroying your expensive ladder!
I bought this because I expected Werner levelers that Werner recommends for my Werner ladder would be a better choice that some by other manufacturers that I actually preferred the look of. I suppose if, like one of the other reviewers, you're a professional machinist, this install is a slam-dunk. I'm just a homeowner with slightly-above-average mechanical skills, and enough smarts to know when I'm in over my head.
I returned this to Home Depot for a full refund, no questions asked.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Calipkr one of the best tools i have evvvvvver purchased.
These are so fantastic. I did have to cut the ends off of my ladder but they are not needed anyway. any alumnum or fiberglass cut easily. I paid full price at hd then found sw had them at whatever your tier price is. buy these now if you spend any time on ladders for a living. Search youtube for pk80-2 and youll find a good video for the install.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AG99 Far too difficult to install
I need to be able to use my ladder on uneven ground, and apparently this is the only leveler that works on my ladder. However, you have to be a genius to install the thing and you also need additional parts that aren't included with this very-expensive ladder accessory. This unit costs more than the ladder did! Installing the unit also makes your ladder shorter. I'm sending it back and buying a new ladder instead.

Bought product to put on my extension ladder and after reading the directions, I needed to cut off the bottom of the ladder to put this on. I decided not do that.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DoItYourselfer Great Leveler - with a few caveats
Great leveler, but a few issues to be aware of:
1. You have to be able to pick the entire ladder straight up and set it back down for the levelers to work. I have these on my 20’ and 24’ ladders and I love them. But on my 32’ ladder, I have the PK70 Quick-Click Leveler because I cannot lift that ladder straight up and set it back down – without the fear of it tipping over on me!
2. Installation is a little tricky. Take your time and understand and follow the instructions carefully.
3. You do have to cut off the bottom of the ladder just above the shoe with these levelers. I really thought about that and went thru all the installation steps before I cut the ladder off. I started with my 20’ ladder, and loved these so much I put them on my 24’ ladder too.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by diydude Good unit, why didn't I buy it 20 years ago?
Works very well. Literally you just place the ladder on the ground, the legs slide to equalize the height difference. The last 1/2-inch of so the legs lock into position. It is so nice not having to deal with scraps of wood, rocks, etc to level out uneven ground. I should have bought this 20 years ago and skipped a lot of hassle.
Regarding installation: I have an older Werner ladder 1124. I mounted at the lower rung, vs. how the directions tell you to cut off over a foot of a good ladder. I suspect the product safety ratings specify 21 feet max and the leveling legs add about 5-odd inches to the overall ladder length. Since that technically violates the 21 foot maximum rating, Werner has to tell you to make a shorter ladder. OK, I went for the extra 5 inches which means that I can't sue Werner if the ladder collapses. I can live with that.

I bought the ladder leveler not realizing that it requires you to cut off a portion of the bottom of your ladder. At least that is how we read the instructions. I want to return it!
