Of all the slow cookers I have had over the years, this is my favorite. You can brown meat on the stove, then put it on the slow cooker and let it cook like when making vegetable soup. You can put the pan in the fridge with leftovers and heat it on the stove the next day. I have two of them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Plp West Bend Slow Cooker
I bought the Wwst Bend Slow Cooker to replace the 30 year old one that I loved. I prefer this style over a typical crockpot style. I like the fact that I can use the pot on the stove (great for browning meat and for cooking spaghetti). The handles on the pot are a little too small. I don't care for the plastic handle on top of the lid. I prefer the old flat lid; it was all glass and could be used as a baking dish.

Convenient size and easy to clean. I especially appreciate that the heat is controlled by a rheostat, and not just with a high/low setting. After using a number of other brands, this is the best slow cooker that I have ever owned. Use it at least twice a week.

this is a great product at a great price, however, the lid received did not fit. it was 1/2 inch too large and could not get a replacement lid via seller. i had to go to the manufacturer directly, who was able to resolve this issue with no problems.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Drifter This is a good slow cooker with the griddle plate. West Bend is a quality name so I trust that. The cost was the best.
Replaced a worn out cooker (same brand and size). This cooker is a very versatile appliance in the kitchen and with the griddle, small breakfasts will be fast with easy clean-up This cooker will make many meals as it gets used often.

During the Christmas holidays I noticed that careless use of metal spoons had damaged the non-stick surface of my slow cooker. I can't live without this appliance! So i immediately began the search on line to find a replacement and Home Depot had the best price. It was ordered and delivered quickly and we are "back in business"

The oblong shape makes this slow cooker perfect for cooking a whole chicken. The metal container is better than a crock because you can put this directly on the kitchen burner if you want to saute or brown food before setting it on the heating element to slow cook.
