All of these sound like a fluorescent ballast, not a simple candelabra socket.

Answer:
I used wire from a lamp rewiring product that Home Depot sells. It worked fine for the low wattage bulbs used with this fixture.

Answer:
The type of wiring used for these sockets depends on the project you are working on. Different types of fixtures might use several different types of wire, but the most common type used in lighting fixtures is SPT wire, which will work with these sockets.

Answer:
This socket is normally what is used for window candles. You will need to check on the exact measurements because they can use a socket with a height ranging from 1 1/2" up through about 5 1/2" and the candle can be larger than the socket installed. The way these sockets are installed, they might extend partially up inside the candle cover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy replacement product. Had to rebuild the coach lamps on our Florida home due to age & UV exposure. These were not an exact replacement, but were easy to modify, and they worked great. Saved me a lot of money. They were very expensive lights.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from not exactly Wasn't exactly what I needed but I was able to fabricate it to meet my needs...I find that this happens more often as the house gets older.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than buying new fixture Easy to change out. Just turnoff at the switch and change out. If you have a broken bulb, just change out the socket too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lamp Sockets... Great but Why 2???? The product per se was just fine, BUT... why on earth does one have to buy TWO (2) of them??? They come packaged in a "twofer" like vacuum cleaner belts. Hopefully I'll use the other one before I pass away.
