It is rated at 7.5 KW and 30 amps so it might not run everything at once or start up everything at once. It will run my whole house, no electric stove or water heater.

A Honda would be much quieter, but also twice as expensive. Read Less

It is just like trying to convert a propane fueled engine to a natural gas engine. Although both are a gas, the main difference is the pressure of the two gases. Propane is high pressure while natural gas is low pressure. The orifices for the natural gas would be twice the diameter of the orifices for the propane.
Unless you are going to swap your engines out, you are going to have to pick your fuel and stay with it.
This manufacturer only makes a gas powered unit.

I note in the customer reviews that purchasers of the Westinghouse portable generators were pleased with the customer service provided. But I am unable to locate a number for customer service. I contacted WESTPRO and they appear to assist only with replacement parts. Who do I contact if I have questions about the assembly and operation?

Answer:
YES, but once you've run it for some time with synthetic oil, do NOT go back to regular oil; the oil seals may leak My experience with synthetic oil is that it will definitely extend the life of the engine.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Generator Westingtonhouse generator was delivered to local homedepot. When I picked up everything in the carton as there. I put together as per instructions and tools supplied by manufacturers with no problems. the oil and funnel was also supplied with the generator. It started on first try and the battery was charged I used it for a short time with no problems June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product so far! The Westinghouse Portable Generator was easy to assemble. Filled the engine with the oil supplied by the Manufacturer, connected the battery, filled with gas and it fired right up. Connected some load to make certain the breakers and electrical plug-ins worked properly, which they did but haven't had to use it much since the purchase but intend to write more as it is used more. Also purchased a switchable load control box at HD to connect to my load center (breaker box) to connect certain appliances and lights as our remote area has numerous electrical outages in the winter for quick connection to the Portable Generator. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Generator I have researched about all the brand name generators in the 7500 watt range and chose the Westinghouse Model # WH7500E. I ordered it from the Home Depot and it arrived in 2 days. The generator was easy to assemble and came with oil and a funnel and spark plug wrench. I connected the battery and added gas and hit the button and it fired right up. I ran the generator 4 or 5 times for about 2 hours each time with no problems. It is hooked up to the house though a transfer switch and runs all the necessities with power to spare. Well pump, sump pump, freezer, refrigerator and lights, TV and radio. The battery is being charged while it is running. The neutral and ground are bonded but the web site shows how to float the neutral. Very easy. The voltage and frequency are very stable. West pro claims 9% THD and that is better than most non – inverter type generators. Even my two cheap uninterrupted power supplies run fine on its power. I would say it is quieter than most 7500 watt generators. The only issue is the gas gauge is off by about a half a tank. Other than that it seems to be a nice, well-built generator. Watch for sales, paid $799.00 with free shipping to store. I would recommend it. June 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent macvhine. Easy to assemble, good instructions. Powerful unit. Much quieter than I was expecting. Can barely hear it in my house. I also installed a Transfer Switch to run my home in case of a power failure. I used six circuits on the TS and the generator didn't even notice. I have power to spare. There were two glitches. 1.) The fuel gauge is not accurate. When I filled it to the mark in the filler neck the gauge only shows just over half full. 2.)The power plug for the home power cord connection has one connector that prevents the cord from being inserted unless you insert it at an angle first. I called warranty service and they sent me a new plug immediately. Over all though, I'm thoroughly pleased with this unit. Can't wait for a power failure! LOL November 4, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Reliable, but not fuel-efficient This generator is a bit quieter than most portable generators of its size, but still not contractor-grade muffling. It has good features, like a digital hour meter, but it is not fuel-efficient. I only get 10 hours run at about 25% load, versus the claimed 11 hours at 50%. 3-year warranty and features, plus decent quality construction are why I rated it a good value. February 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Generator - powers entire house! This generator is an excellent purchase!! The handles and wheel kit install in minutes. It started on the second pull. The battery was also charged and started the generator effortlessly. I have this set-up with an interlock kit backfeeding through a 30A breaker. It powers my entire house (2400 ft2) without issue including the microwave, coffee maker, etc. It is quieter than most non-inverter generators out there, but don't get me wrong, it is still loud. I look forward to the peace of mind of being able to power my entire house (no extension cords) during our next power outage. I recommend this to anyone! Also - watch for sales. I got this from HD at an incredible price. The only con I have is the generator ran at 3750 rpm instead of 3600 rpm out of the box, so our digital clocks advanced while running on generator power. I will fix this shortly. September 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WH7500 is a solid buy The generator is a solid buy for under $900. Power is good. Quality is decent. Noise is lower than my last generator. I converted the generator to a tri-fuel generator. I think it runs much smoother on propane than gasoline. I am very pleased with the product so far. Bonus: the exhaust from propane use is much lower than gasoline. February 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very impressed thus far I have yet to use this generator but, all my dry run has been nothing but excellent. The electric starter works every time. The sound/loudness is far less than many of the portable generators around. My electrician was really impressed with the ease of use. (My electrician wired it to my panel via transfer kit). According to him I will not have any issue turning on all of my critical need should the need arises, including, furnace, stove, fridge, etc. Although it's not my wish, I am hoping, for real, to put this to work soon and, I bet my neighbor will go out next day and buy one. He loves this generator especially for the price and power June 10, 2015
