Easy to assemble. reasonably good quality with one exception. The fan blades themselves could be nicer material or reinforced especially at the base. I apparently applied to much pressure tightening the screws that hold the blades on. The blades are fiberboard and when I tightened the screws, it compressed the blades - causing them to sit unevenly and create some imbalance. I still haven't gotten the blades to be completely flat and balanced. I'm an engineer and very particular - my wife doesn't even notice.
Overall I like the fan and it was a good value - but I'm disappointed by the fan blades.

Was able to put up with not much trouble. We needed a fan that had a light that was more compact as that we had lower ceiling. Should work fine.

I purchased & had an electrician install 3 of these fans in my daughters house. She liked the look and the Comet was less expensive than anything we found with the same styling. But what a mistake. One fan was bad upon install. A lound grinding sound from the motor. Another started making the grinding sound within a week. I've had to go online 2x to reorder the fan and now must have the electrician back to remove the 2 bad fans and reinstall the replacements. The electrician & time wasted was not worth the savings. I should have spent the extra money ordered a better fan especially since there are no guarantees the next 2 fans will be good.

Installing this fan was a little more difficult than most. The fan blade assembly was tedious and time consuming. Everything else assembled pretty much the way you would expect.
The overall feel of the materials used in this fan are flimsy. The structure just didn't feel as sturdy as other comparatively priced fans I've installed.
The amount of air the fan pushes is much lower than other fans in my house. I have to run this fan on medium speed to get as much air movement out of my other fans at low speed.
I wouldn't purchase this fan again. The quality is borderline but not bad enough that I would go through the trouble to uninstall it and take it back.

Locally, we reach up to 125 degrees in the summer; it is only April and we've reached 100 degrees already. This fan has been such a great investment. Great blade size, 3 speeds, 2 blade direction options, what more can you ask for? If you are looking for a fan to be efficient in hot weather, THIS IS IT. As a huge extra bonus, it does not make ANY noise, which makes it perfect for bedtime. At last I need to mention my home's roof is pretty low, so I've installed it without the tube that brings the fan closer to the floor (lower), and that worked great for me! VERY RECOMMENDED.

Finish on this product was not what I expected. Says brushed pewter but it actually looks looked like it is just painted grey.
