Product Overview

Defined by its brushed nickel finish, 5 reversible weathered maple/dark cherry blades, and frosted glass light fixture, this Westinghouse Fairview 52 in. indoor ceiling fan will add comfort and traditional style to any room. Ideal for rooms up to 360 sq. ft. with standard 8 ft. ceilings, this fan features a 153 mm x 12 mm cold-rolled steel motor with a triple capacitor for powerful, quiet air circulation. Three fan speeds (high/medium/low) and a reversible switch help keep you comfortable all year round, while a remote control enables convenient operation. The ceiling fan provides airflow of up to 4370 CFM and is rated to operate at 55-Watt at high speed (without lights), giving it an airflow efficiency rating of 80 CFM/Watt. (As a comparison, 49 in. to 60 in. ceiling fans have airflow efficiencies ranging from approximately 51 to 176 CFM/Watt at high speed.) In addition to the remote control, the Fairview comes with everything you need for installation, including a 9-Volt battery, 3/4 in. Dia x 4 in. L downrod, a 24 in. lead wire, 2 candelabra-base 60-Watt G16.5 light bulbs, and 9-Volt battery. It is backed by a lifetime motor warranty and a 2-year warranty on all other parts. Product reference number 78400.

Customer Reviews

Fairview 52 in. Brushed Nickel Indoor Ceiling Fan is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lacks quality I called to see if the wires were 24" so we could use a 24" pole. "Yes!" I was told. Well, how about 23 1/4" wire. Now we must use an 18" pole & we're not happy about it! We wanted a remote! It states it has a remote! Yeah, right - the housing goes into a bracket and an ugly wire sticks out .. ? antenna? Not attractive & CHEAP! And the fan boards are cheap looking. Everything else looks fine, but all-in-all, it is not the quality for the price. The ceiling fan selection in Home Depot was really poor this season. Most were quite small and had NO remotes! Nothing like the selection a few years back when we bought two fans then.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Westinghouse Fairview ceiling fan It states that this ceiling fan has a remote, but you can ONLY use the remote to turn the fan/light on and off, not the wall switch. You must turn the wall switch to the on position and then proceed into the dark room to find the remote and turn it on. What is the point of having a remote if you must attach it on the wall next to the wall switch to utilize it.
