Great white bright light. The fan works great, you can barely here it. The look is a B+, but definitely versatile. After looking for a while online this was the best options for fans that were under $300. Installation took minutes, it was harder to get the old fan down :)

This is a very nice fan. It's well made from quality materials. If you are considering having this fan installed in your new home, give your contractor a thumbs up. Do it. It's a work of art. HOWEVER, if you are planning on hanging this fan yourself . . . in an older home you will definitely run into many issues, especially if you are using a ceiling medallion. Installation issues cost this fan one star. The ceiling cowl screw holes are stamped so close to the top of the cowl that even the sixteenth of an inch or less the medallion adds prevents you from adding the two final screws to the cowl. Installing this fan yourself is just short of a nightmare. You better have needle nose priers and bees wax on hand just to hold the screws in place while you work your way around wiring harnesses and a myriad of other obstacles. You may also need a file. Over the past 30 years, I have hung a lot of ceiling fans in our 100+ year old home, and this one - by far - was the most difficult. Engineers tell designers, "Form follows function." In this case the Westinghouse designers didn't listen. Too bad. This is very nice fan. I would even buy another, but I would NEVER, again, try to install it myself. Did I mention you may need double stick tape?

I loved this fan so much I ordered a second I put the white side of blades on one and the black side on the other.
The fan light is awesome and gives a wonderful bright light! Very quiet and doesn't wobble at all. BEST FAN EVER!

Fan was very easy to install. It is very classy looking and gives the room a very modern look. We are not seeing the problems with the lights that others described. The fan runs very quietly on all speeds. There was a tiny paint flaw on 2 of the blades that we received, but we called Westinghouse customer service and they mailed us a whole new set of blades at no cost.

Looks good but, quality of product is very poor....missing parts, so many imperfections, packed it up and returned it. It's a shame because it would have been perfect for our décor.

This ceiling fan is very modern and gives a room an excellent look while operating at an extremely quiet level. However, be warned that the light kit gives off a very strong and bright light, with almost a bluish tinge and is almost too much for any but the largest rooms. I am considering replacing the bulbs that came with the kit with more normal small spots to see if that will make a difference. Overall, I am very pleased with the entire package and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a classy looking ceiling fan.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hbear147 Beautiful and bright!
A friend's husband installed it, so I can't personally speak for ease of instillation, but he didn't seem to have any problems. I was looking for a bright fan to light a very dim living space and found it. Like others mentioned, it's very bright, as it comes with 4 small, fluorescent lights. When the lights were on and the fan was on high, it had a strobe effect that quickly gave me a headache. A simple change to 40 watt soft white bulbs and it's now perfect! The fan itself is unique and pretty. I would definitely recommend it to others and buy another one, if needed, in the future.

We initially bought this fan because of the style. Very modern, and would fit into our decor. The first fan made buzzing and clicking noises and the motor would slow down to the poiint where it almost stopped. So we thought we had a "lemon." Back to get a replacement, which did the same exact thing, though with less noise. This ceiling fan, every now and then, just slows down, and for no reason that we can discern, and when it does so, sometimes makes a clicking noise which then wakes us ip. We have no idea why it would slow down, other than it is just poorly made. So back to the store this one will go too, and we'll try a totally different model.
