Answer:
We do not recommend a ceiling fan light as the main light source in a room. The air flow is 2039 cubic feet per minute (CFM). I am not able to say if this will produce enough air for your room, that is based personal preference.

Answer:
The Quince ceiling fan comes with a 4 inch down rod and this is a down rod only fan so you do need to use a down rod with the ceiling fan. You can use a longer down rod if needed but just need to make sure it is a 3/4" diameter down rod.

I purchased this small fan and installed it in the hallway to draw air to the back bed rooms. On a scale from 1 to 10 on the handyman skill level I consider myself maybe a 7 on a good day. I got the fan and began the assembling and mounting of the unit. Right off the bat I was very impressed with the construction and the ease of the assemble. Mounting the unit to the ceiling was fairly simple as electrical work isn't my strong suit. But with the good instructions provided in the owner's manual It was very simple. The fan works like I wanted and I'm very satisfied with it. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! Easiest ceiling fan I have ever installed! I was worried the lighting would be poor with only 2 small bulbs. I installed it in my home office and was pleasantly surprised by how much light it gave off. Very quiet when the fan is running as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly Right! Fan moves air really well, is quiet and works perfectly cooling my small kitchen. Pull chain tags make it clear which one works fan and which the light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great small fan We needed a small fan to fit in a tight area. This was perfect. Does not put out much light though-but we needed to circulate air more than lighting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In the kitchen This little fan is a perfect fit for my kitchen. There was a larger fan in the spot before but it kept interfering with the flame on my gas stove. I also needed it to act independently of the light switch since it is not connected to one. (Do not ask) My son came & installed it without a problem. Except for the fact he was shocked because the electrical panel did not have a label for that random circuit! Lame person who installed the fan box. The only negative features; the 3 speeds are not much different from each other. Balancing it has been a challenge. Other than that we love it & glad we have it in this heat wave we are going through. It really works to keep the heat at bay. And it's really cute!

Had an electrician put this up with a Westinghouse Remote in a walk-in closet. It moves a lot of air (3 speeds) and the dimmer on the light is convenient. It's been up for a few weeks & the motor noise has gone away (instructions said any noise should go away after 24 hrs). I had some wobble and moved fan blades (per instructions) and it worked. Hope it doesn't wobble when switch is changed for winter.
