We've been using this fan for approximately 6 months and the third bulb just burned out. I have used three different halogen bulbs (the original, another purchased from HomeDepot and a third from Amazon# and made sure they were the correct type/watt. Every time i have replaced the bulb, I have made sure not to touch the glass as directed on the packaging. As expensive as these halogen bulbs are, I can't replace them every 1.5-2 months especially since the lights are used, at most, 2 hours a day #the room involved gets excellent natural light during the day.) Any information or will I simply need to replace the fan? Outside of the light issue, I really enjoy the fan. Thanks

I have had mine for less than 6 months when I thought the bulb went out for the firs time. Unfortunately it was the ceramic base of the bulb that was cracked. Now I am wondering if I can replace just the light or if I am stuck replacing the entire fan. Not pleased with this purchase.

Answer:
This measurement is listed as "Assembled Height" and for the Sparta fan is 13 inches. This is measured from the top of the canopy, which is usually the same as measuring from the ceiling.

Is there an option to use a normal wall mounted fan/light control?

Can I use a normal wall mounted fan and light control in conjunction with the supplied remote? Or is there a wall mounted remote available? I prefer to have a wall control in case I lose the remote and also for the convenience of switching the fan/light att he door.

The remote control receiver for the Sparta ceiling fan must be installed on a circuit with a single supply at normal house voltage, and cannot be used in conjunction with a wired wall control. While a wall-mounted remote control transmitter can usually be used in conjunction with a compatible receiver and hand-held remote control unit, the remote control included with the Sparta fan may not be compatible with other transmitters (it may operate on different frequencies). The best option to use both a hand-held remote control and a wall-mounted transmitter would be to install a pull-chain operated fan with an after-market remote control system designed for this type of application. Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 73 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet beautiful fan The fan is very quiet - no wobble and is quiet. It did not need to be adjusted. It was pretty straight forward in its assembly. April 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy install, great air movement By and large, a super easy install and I've installed many a ceiling fan. You're likely going to need a second set of hands when you hang the motor unit and then again, when you reattach the motor housing with the blades installed. Aside from that, it was 45 minutes start to finish. The light is amazingly bright as well. Very pleased. Aesthetic of the remote is a bit cheap looking, but if you can get past that, you've got a great stylish fan than truly moves air. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this fan... Love this fan, clean and progressive look. Looks fabulous in our family room. I thought 2 blades would not produce much air, but I was wrong. Really cool that it comes with a remote. Excellent fan for the price. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sleek, efficient, and great looking This fan is al out like a sculpture, gets a lot of compliments. It circulates the air nicely, I would say as much as a 4-5 blade. August 3, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Light angle - not bright the whole room unless you have high ceiling due to the light angle - the light get really hot when on for more then half hour - if you turn the light to the brightest, your eyes will feel uncomfortable when you look at the light - fans is fine, there are little sound ( different to other fan's sound) maybe due to 2 blades June 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome!! Awesome!! Awesome!! Awesome!! Awesome!! Awesome!!! June 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice aif flow, looks good, easy to operate The fan is bright, but the light is small. I have this in the LR with two large windows, so I was more concerned with the air flow, which for such a large space (16 x 20) works well. My uncle installed, with me as assistant, and it was installed in about twenty minutes. We installed another Westinghouse fan in the kitchen which meant we need to set the fans (both remote operated) to different frequencies during installation. Very quiet fan, looks smaller because of the blades, but it is lightweight and a breeze to work with the supplied remote. August 31, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great looking modern fan I really like this fan. We ran into a little bit of a problem installing. Make sure to loosen the screws the canopy hooks onto. Ours were too tight and we could not get the canopy on. Also one of the screws was in slightly askew which made the canopy rub the ceiling and make a ticking sound. This drove me crazy for a couple days and I kept adjusting wiring and tightening everything until I finally discovered the problem. Now the fan is super quiet and moves plenty of air. The light is bright enough for our bedroom and the dimmer feature is nice. Check the frequency to any other remotes you may have before installing. Ours matched our back porch fans even from a different manufacturer and 9 years older. Luckily changing the frequency was easy. Overall, I love the look and function of this fan and the labor day sale price was way too good to pass up. September 16, 2014
