What is the amps output of this unit

Amps output is just as important as wattage. Why don't the specifications list amp output of this unit?
Asked by: larrydean
15A continuous, 18.3A surge.

Has the fuel cutoff and on/off switch been combined?

Usually you see a fuel cutoff so you can run the carb dry, is the only way to do that in this model to take the rear panel off and drain fuel directly from the carb?
Asked by: TheFanMan
Yes, that appears to be the case. Please see close up of the front part of the unit.

Woven Vinyl Canvas Inverter Generator Cover is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Generator for a Fair Price Although new to the market, I decided to try the WH2000i. This is a well made generator for a fair price. I research all of my purchases heavily before I buy. There are not many reviews of this generator yet but, rest assured its a solid buy. I have an 8000 watt RIGID from HD as well but, it's much too big for many of my needs. I wanted a smaller portable generator with clean power output. I use the WH2000i to run the A/C (13,500BTU) in my camper and it starts it w/o issue. I also use the inverter to power my HAM Radio gear when running field ops. This generator is as quiet as the Honda and the WH2000i will run FOREVER on a tank of gas. Starting is fast and easy, all controls and parts (plug, oil fill, etc.) are easy to use and access, it is very quiet and it is hundreds less than the Honda's. It also has a 2 year warranty. What more could you ask for? Ordered it via phone from my local HD and had it shipped to the house. Took all of 3 days. Great service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and Reliable The Westinghouse WH2000i inverter generator is a great buy! I didn't know Westinghouse made generators until I started researching. What I found is that, for the money, this is the quietest, longest running on a tankful of gas, generator out there. It is very easy to start as all the user controls are bright yellow in color. Open the gas vent, pull the choke, and pull the recoil handle. And it is SO quiet! You won't offend the people in the adjacent campsite. The only drawback so far is that the oil fill/check is a little difficult to access but that is minor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems good so far I was a bit leery of this, since it's new and no-one has reviewed it. But the youtube videos looked good, and the claimed KWh/gallon is very impressive. I emailed a guy at WestProPower to query this, and he said it's due to a combination of a very efficient inverter/alternator design, a high-efficiency engine, and to some extent that Honda are very conservative in their fuel consumption figures, while WestPro are just reporting what they see in their testing. That sounded somewhat plausible to me, and if it's true then the high efficiency is a great thing, because it means less waste heat and lower temperatures and all round probably higher reliability. I just started it up for the first time, followed the instructions carefully and it started on the second pull, and ran smoothly. I switched to efficiency mode and it was fairly quiet - I haven't heard a Honda or Yamaha, but this was not bad. I put a cheap tachometer/hour meter on it, and it claimed to be running about 1800rpm (though I may have configured number of sparks per cycle wrong, so don't put too much faith in that. Anyhow, you could tell there was an engine running, but it was purring rather than clattering, and you didn't need ear protection. Then I hooked up a fan heater, with a clamp meter to measure the current. It was pulling 12.9 amps, about 1550 watts. Tachometer showed about 2400. It was fairly loud, but more a loud humming than any objectionable clattering, and not deafening. I wouldn't want to run it late at night (I'm in the suburbs with neighbors very close). But if you put it in a suitably sheltered place, it would be ok. The build quality seems good, the manual is very clear. The main controls are all colored bright yellow. Perhaps best is that it is very compact and portable - easy to lift with one hand, and takes little space in storage. It does have an extending handle and wheels like the Ryobi, but it's so small and light that it really doesn't need it - it's just like carrying a heavy and slightly bulky suitcase. I haven't taken it to full power yet, nor tested the runtime. And really the idea of running 10 hours or more on a gallon or so - and possibly a couple of days from a 6-gallon tank - was what persuaded me to try this rather than the popular and well-reviewed Ryobi. But so far I'm happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Generator I first decided to purchase this generator because it was recommended in an article in "Cabin Life" magazine. I have been very happy with it. I had a little trouble the first time I tried to start it up, but apparently I just don't have any upper body strength. My neighbor was able to get it going right away, and I have had no trouble starting it myself ever since. I use this for tailgating and it has been perfect for everything I have needed to power!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product at a great price I purchased this product to take on fishing trips to run my lights and possibly a small heater and it works perfectly. Light and compact but with plenty of power for what I need it for. Very easy to operate and starts very easily and runs very efficiently without drowning out conversation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good! I researched and researched and finally settled on this little beauty. The higher priced Honda and Yamaha units only run at 1600/2000 and I wanted the extra couple hundred watts this unit has (1800/2200) to get my RV A/C running. I've only owned it for about 5 hours now, but I'll try to answer a few questions I had when researching. I wanted this for my Nash 17K travel trailer which is equipped with a 13,500 BTU A/C and a 900 watt microwave. It ran both just fine, but not at the same time (as expected). It ran the A/C and everything else I could find to turn on at the same time and didn't hiccup one bit. It even starts the A/C from the economy mode, which I was kinda not expecting. I did it several times and it never faltered. While in the economy mode it just purrs. I would liken the sound to standing next to one of those box fans when it is on low. When it revs up to full throttle it sounds like the same fan set to medium. It's not annoying at all. I stood right next to it on high and talked to my wife without raising our voices. From inside the RV it sounded sort of like a car idling outside...and I had it sitting just outside the door. With the radio or A/C on, I couldn't hear it at all. I'd give this unit a full five stars if I had more time with it and it was equipped with an hour meter. So far it is everything I hoped it would be and quieter than I was expecting. One thing to be aware of: it started right up on the second pull and about 10 seconds later the low oil light went on and it shut down. It did this twice. The third time it started and ran perfectly. I started it several more times, one pull only, and it ran perfectly. I am guessing since it is shipped without oil it takes a couple of starts to get the oil you put in dispersed up into the engine. It's actually a good thing it has a sensitive low oil indicator. In case something bad does happen, you won't ruin the engine. So far, I would totally recommend this to a friend. I am looking forward to doing a side by side comparison with my buddy who just bought a Yamaha 2000 off of craigslist used for a bit more money. My gut feeling is that the Yamaha won't run the A/C in his same RV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Starts my RV AC no problem ! I filled up the oil And gas, Then let it run for an hour with a small fan on it switching from eco to normal mode ever 15 min. Then I hooked it up to my RV and turned on the AC (AND WOW ! Started it no problem ! ). I then in short , Turned on every thing in the RV I could find ( And again, No problem ) . With a full tank of gas the generator ran for about 6 hours with the AC and every thing on . It is very light and quiet, Even at full load. loving this amazing generator !!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great power from a small quiet package I have used a H brand several times before and it is quiet but a little under powered. The Westinghouse exceeded my expectations. It is as quiet as the H brand but has longer run time and produces higher wattage. I hooked up my Dealt contractor air compressor to it and it powered it nicely. The overload light flickered but it powered the compressor without shutting down. The other brand wouldn't run this compressor. The jury is out on the units longevity, but being $300 cheaper, it is a risk I'm willing to take. The unit is very light weight as well.
