Answer:
curious consumer,
The interior measurements is not something that isn't measured. I am going to pass along this request for future consideration with our models. The interior is measured by cubic feet. This counter top microwave is 1.6 cu ft, it is able to handle large bowls, dishes, dinner plates, etc. Thank you for viewing this Whirlpool home appliance.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Partially died after two weeks Got this Whirlpool because my KitchenAid died and was installed with a trim kit. The only alternatives that would fit in the cabinet with the trim were this Whirlpool or a KA that cost 2xs as much. Got it installed and it worked fine for two weeks. Then, some of the control panel buttons stopped working. Still heated on high but that was it. I called Whirlpool and, to their credit, they immediately agreed to replace it. As of today, I am waiting for the replacement to arrive. One star for quality (although it was a lot quieter than the KA) but 5 for customer service. Works out to a 2 since I would prefer that it actually work. September 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate microwave This microwave appears adequate for everything we have used it for in the past two weeks. As other reviewers noted- the hum it makes while cooking is a little louder than our previous microwave - although not offensive. July 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Shipping Was Not Satisfactory The product is right size for my kitchen and easy to use. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very quiet, works quickly We had to buy this model after the bigger model would not fit into a specific cabinet in our kitchen. I was cautious that it would be too small or not powerful enough but am pleasantly surprised with this one. Much quieter than our above-the-range Whirlpool microwave, and cooks faster. May 31, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Second time... Just like the previous person "BMC", I purchased a new house and bought the appliances package. Not even a year and my microwave went out so they replaced it and now its been a little bit over a year and it has gone bad again. I had a service guy come out and he said the megnetron was bad and this part can't be replaced or order for this model. This is robbery because I paid for the service call and I have to buy a new microwave. The guy told me that this model was a bad because it was from China and that year was a trial year. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase This microwave cooks way faster than any one I've had before. It's sleek and matches the rest of our Whirlpool appliances perfectly. We're in love! February 23, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good enough, but a couple of issues This microwave is replacing one I had for fifteen years and I'm guessing it won't last nearly that long. Two weeks after I started using it, I noticed what looked like dirt on the start button, so I rubbed it. It wasn't dirt--the film coating on the panel had gotten scratched from normal, minimal use. From just a normal cleaning rub it, it now is a rough spot three times the size. This will probably let air under the film and it will bubble in time. Really cheap coating. Other than that, the door open button needs an odd amount of pressure to open and it doesn't pop back 10% of the time--you have to open and close the door firmly. The sensor heating is great though and it looks nice. It's an average, built- to-not-last-long unit to make you spend $300 bucks every few years. December 8, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lasted just over a year Bought this microwave for our new construction. Moved in the home in October of 2014. Microwave died January of 2016. Ridiculous! Just over one year. :-( I am going to call and see if there is anything Home Depot can do but this is terribly disappointing. January 11, 2016
