Customer Reviews

1.6 cu. ft. Countertop Microwave in White, Built-In Capable with Sensor Cooking is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 1110.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Partially died after two weeks Got this Whirlpool because my KitchenAid died and was installed with a trim kit. The only alternatives that would fit in the cabinet with the trim were this Whirlpool or a KA that cost 2xs as much. Got it installed and it worked fine for two weeks. Then, some of the control panel buttons stopped working. Still heated on high but that was it. I called Whirlpool and, to their credit, they immediately agreed to replace it. As of today, I am waiting for the replacement to arrive. One star for quality (although it was a lot quieter than the KA) but 5 for customer service. Works out to a 2 since I would prefer that it actually work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works well enough for the purpose Disclaimer - Whirlpool employee review. I did order this product and it was shipped to my house. The packaging needs to be fixed because the support with wheels that you put under the glass dish, was broken, so I had to call and have another one sent to me. In the meantime, the dish would barely turn on the broken support. The support was on the top of the package, laying in foam, but if you set something heavy on the top, it would break it. Need to protect it a little more. Would like to see more stainless. It is mostly black with just stainless trim on the front. This is misleading in a way. Otherwise, it works fine. It is quieter than my older Whirlpool, so that threw me off at first. But it is nice that it is quieter. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped Working after 13 Months I bought this oven for its built-in feature for our new kitchen. The unit worked fine for 13 months but then suddenly stopped heating up the food. We called Home Depot and Whirlpool to get it repaired or replaced but both declined assistance because the product's warranty has expired. Feel like taken advantage of.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks Great I bought this a 1 1/2 months ago. Door sweats between the glasses. Had a microwave just like it that I replaced and it did not sweats between glass. We loved our old Whirlpool microwave. Very unhappy about this sweat between the glass on our new one [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works pretty well We just replaced a Kenmore microwave with this Whirlpool one. On the whole I like it and it works fine. My one problem is that I have been heating a 4-cup teapot in the microwave filled with water for 10 minutes. In the old machine it worked fine, in this one the microwave blows the plug. Not sure if this is because of the weight of the pot or what. Sometimes it works, and sometimes not. This is frustrating. Other than that everything else we've cooked in here is fine, including potatoes. Also the beeps are loud and there are five of them at the end of cooking. One would work. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Replacement For Old Whirlpool Microwave Good microwave. 1200 watts is enough power to heat or cook things quickly. Large enough to handle most cooking and warming tasks. Nice automatic features simplify selection of times for various cooking chores. Only two negative features- the microwave door is quick to steam up making it difficult or impossible to see through the door. The most notable negative is the difficulty opening the door. It is so hard to open I had to put pieces of wood behind the microwave so that it would not slide all the way to the wall when trying to open it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from powerful, clean lines, easy to figure out how to work This microwave is powerful! We've learned to be careful because it cooks so much faster than our old model, even tho' it was bigger. It looks very good, but I took off a star because it feels chintzy. The plastic feels and sounds cheap. The controls are all touch pad and have to be touched "just-so" in order to work (we installed this below the counter so that may be part of the issue). Runs very quietly (love that!) Would like to have a "keep warm" button but overall we're very satisfied with it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
