Rose,
I apologize, but I do not have access to the interior dimensions of this microwave. It is 1.8 cu ft and does offer a 12" turntable. This information should provide a little more clarify on the items it can hold. Thank you for viewing this Whirlpool home appliance.

Answer:
Rose,
Thank you for viewing this Whirlpool Over the Range Microwave. The wattage on this microwave is referring to the microwave use. This model can use up to 1100 watts. For convection cooking, the heat distributed in the cavity of the oven would depend on the temperature setting that you choose to bake/roast your food items. Thank you for opportunity to answer your question.

Answer:
I wanted to know the sones, which is a rating as to the amount of noise the fan generates. CFM's indicate the "sucking" power of the exhaust fan. The CFM rating is in the product info, so I have that but I don't know how it is rated for noise. I've chosen to go with another manufacturer as they were able to answer all of the questions I had, whereas this one did not.

1.8 cu. ft. Over the Range Convection Microwave in White, with Sensor Cooking-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good convection/microwave, but a bit loud Ordered and received this unit a little over a month ago. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. It looks great, it's easy to use and cooks good. (I haven't tried the convection yet, but hope to soon). The only issue I have is with the fan noise. The fan automatically runs when the microwave runs and it's louder than what I'm used to. I do have it venting up through the overhead vent, so I insulated the venting in the cabinet above. Since I'm not using the front vents, I was able to remove the front bezel and put some noise dampening material in there to lessen the noise. It's a lot better with these small modifications. Other than that, the unit is really nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Consumer report got it right I looked at this model due to the recommendation from consumer reports. Their report was spot on. It does cook food more evenly and the convection oven feature is super!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Microwave but with some significant flaws... As far as functionality goes, this microwave oven works well. It is powerful and large. It cooks fairly evenly. It defrosts without partially cooking the food. While the exterior front is stainless, the interior is not. Neither are the sides. The sides are black and because the microwave sticks out from the cabinet several inches, you can see the black sides. This takes away from the appearance in my opinion. The oven has several accessories that must be stored. Their is a round tray that sits on the turntable for convection use. There is also a rack that should be removed when not being used. I asked why and I was told the reason is that if you cook popcorn, the bag can displace the rack as it expands. If this happens, it can cause the rack to touch the walls of the microwave oven, which can cause serious damage to the oven. This is something important to be aware of. My main two gripes with this oven are as follows: First, the over range light is horrible. Not bad but HORRIBLE! I can't stress this enough. It is VERY dim and positioned toward the rear of the range. You cannot see what you are cooking! It is really that bad. My wife was frying some ground beef and could not tell when it was cooked. She had to take the pan off the stove and bring it over the sink to see it. This is a serious flaw with this oven and you won't know it until you install it. Because most stores don't have these plugged in, you can't try it before you buy it. Once you install this oven, you can't return it. So beware. Even if you could replace the bulb with the brighter one, the position of the bulb is at the far rear so it only lights the rear burners. Where do you do most cooking tasks? On the front burners. The bulb itself; it is an oddball. The socket is slightly larger than a candelabra and very hard to find. So good luck finding a brighter bulb. I did come up with a suitable fix but it cost me an additional $50. I installed an LED light bar at the bottom front of the microwave. It provides much better lighting than the built in light. But short of wiring it in and voiding the warranty, you have another switch and a wall transformer to deal with plus the wiring to the light bar. Besides, a $500+ microwave should not require after-market modifications to be usable. Now for my second gripe. The oven has a lot of automated functions for softening butter, cream cheese, reheating, defrosting, etc. They work very well. So why the gripe? To use them, you press the desired function then you must wait for instructions scroll across the screen asking you how many sticks of butter, or the side of the steak you are defrosting or whatever. The scrolling is slow, even at the fastest speed and because only a few letters display at a time, it takes a long time to read through the questions, answer them and start your task. It is not very user friendly. Even if you know what you want to do, you can't skip ahead on some menus. It's a real pain. If you can get past the drawbacks, it is a decent microwave and although Whirlpool and Maytag are the same company now, this oven doesn't fill with moisture like the Maytag models. Also, the fan has 5 speeds and while the higher speeds are very loud, the lowest 2 speeds are reasonably quiet. Now you must decide if this oven is for you but at least you know what to expect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This oven is great! This oven fit beautifully into our space. The sensors work great for the auto microwave features. It comes with a quick cook cheat sheet that has been extremely easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this as a second oven I have had this OTR oven for 1 month...& so far very impressed! Love all the features, still learning how to use them all. Would recommend this to anyone..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this oven! This is my first microwave convection oven, and I really like the dual features. The oven is very user friendly and the screen guides you as you prepare to cook. It looks great in my kitchen, and easy to maintain. The only thing I don't care for is the fact that when the convection oven is cooling down, the fan is rather loud. Other than that, I highly recommend this appliance if you are in the market for a microwave convection oven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good features, excellent value microwave/convection unit Microwave has more power than my prior, much more expensive GE Advantium unit. This Whirpool unit has very useful programs, both for microwaving and for convection baking/roasting. The human interface is intuitive once you get the hang of it. Could be more sturdy, but for under $500, I'm not complaining. Nice, easy to clean finish inside. Can't comment yet on durability. Highly rated in CR.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Microwave + Range I purchased this based off a recommendation from Consumer Reports and everything so far has worked very well. I have not yet tried the convection feature though. My only complaint is that the logo is big, plasticky, and ugly. I wish they were more discrete with the branding like more premium brands.
