I purchase this microwave in January to replace my countertop model. I wanted something that looked more updated for my kitchen but allowed for me to possible go to stainless steel later (my kitchen is all white). I love this microwave. I like that it does this little song when it is done and the touch buttons are easy to follow to select the correct options. It only has a 30 sec add on for cooking time but you can press it more than once. I like how large the interior is and the light is bright. I am occasionally annoyed that the fan starts on high first but I definitely see why... I don't use it unless there is a ton of steam starting to develop. The interior is huge (much bigger than I was thinking it would be). I like this because I can put taller items in the microwave without them tipping over. The turntable can be on or off. I think it is straight forward to use. I had Home Depot install it which I think was a great decision since I did not previously have a OTR microwave (they had a $49 install sale). They were quick and didn't have any problems. I would recommend this to anyone. No complaints yet. I think it looks great in my kitchen. I purchased the white ice model by the way and there are no finger prints all over it.

I live alone, so I just cook for one. The microwave has gotten me back into eating a bit healthier. I have used the sensor settings for potatoes, vegetables, etc. with great success. Steamed halibut to perfection. And for once, I can trust the popcorn button to cook every kernel without burning the popped corn. This is my first OTR type microwave, and I wish I had tried one years ago. I love the light and fan. The fan is much quieter than my old range hood (contractor special), and moves a lot more air. I installed it myself, took my time, and had no trouble at all.

Arrived from HD as promised. Replacing an older model of the same brand. Most (not quite all) of the old holes lines up. Fan is still a little louder than I would prefer but defiantly quieter than the old model. Sensor modes work great!

It is nice. Has some nice features. The fan is extemely loud on high, but it is efficient and most other brands are almost as loud. Mine came without a user manual and its not easy to get one off of Whirlpool's website. I haven't been able to obtain it yet but have not given up. It is not as attractive as the Whirlpool over the range microwave that it is replacing as they took the grill type look off the top and replaced it with smooth plastic. The grill was never functional, but it is esthetically pleasing and made the old one appear to be higher quality. A few other brands have the grill, but I liked my old Whirlpool so much that I did not want to change brands. The features do make it worth the price even if you don't use it half as often as I do, which is two to three times a day. The alarm/buzzer has a pleasant tone, however it is not loud enough to make me happy. I'm hoping I can increase the volume, but I haven't read anything that would indicate that is an option and it usually isn't. This is has been the only real problem for me. Other than that, I'm happy with everything but its appearance and to be honest, this one is good looking compared to most other models out there today. I am just partial to the decorative grill top look of my old model.

I bought this microwave because it had some more "features" like sensor cooking, the auto-adapt fan, and the CleanRelease interior. I've never had a microwave with these features, and so far I like them.
The whole microwave feels well-built, and it doesn't feel like they "cheaped out" anywhere. The "scrolling" display makes it seem sophisticated and the blue color display looks nice.
The sensor cooking takes a bit longer than my typical practice of "put it in for 1:30 and then add more time if it's still cold." Reheating a dinner plate probably takes 3-5 minutes with the sensor setting, although the plate is very evenly heated with no cold spot in the middle, which is impressive.
Like others have said, the "done" beeper is very quiet - it sounds like it is buried deep within the microwave somewhere, and I didn't see a setting to make it louder even though I went through the settings. A minor flaw, really.
Also as others have said, the "user" instructions are pretty brief. My wife and I have had no trouble figuring everything out (the on-screen prompts are helpful), but I know some people like to have instructions.
When I went through checkout on homedepot.com, Home Depot automatically added some "required" thing to my cart. I Googled the part number and it seemed to be installation. Since I wanted to install it myself, I removed that from the cart even though homedepot.com warned me that the item was "required for a successful installation" (I don't remember exactly what it said, so I'm paraphrasing here).
I installed the microwave where there was not previously a microwave hood (I had the upper cabinet shortened to accommodate the microwave). The install was pretty straightforward. The back mounting plate provided with the microwave didn't look exactly like the one in the installation instructions - the end holes looked vertically centered on the plate in the installation instructions while they were near the top on my plate. However, all the measurements seemed to hold out, and I made sure that the bottom of the plate was at 17 1/4" from bottom of the upper cabinet as per the installation instructions and everything worked out fine. The microwave hooked right up to my through-the-roof vent duct.
Note that the "back wall" cardboard template is actually one of the sides of the box the microwave comes in. I hunted through all of the packaging trying to find it, until I read the instructions and realized that it was a part of the box. The upper cabinet template is paper, and rather than fight with that falling on my head while I tried to mark things, I just measured carefully.
It's nice that the microwave came with all the lag screws and toggle bolts necessary for installation. It's also nice that homedepot.com provides the installation instructions online - I checked those out beforehand so I'd know what I was getting into.
Shipping was fast, the delivery folks were courteous and carried it right up into the kitchen and put it on the floor.
Overall, I'm pleased.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BigRick Its easier than you think...
Purchased this for the most part for the fan exhaust up to 400 cfm, where as most other microwaves only do 300 cfm. And the fan can be set to an auto-sensor mode increasing and decreasing speed based on temperature sensed(another plus for this unit). Some buttons have multiple options in them where-as you have to push the button a few times to get to it.... no problem, other users have said it is difficult but I found it very easy and adapted to it real quick. Overall this is an awesome microwave. It is so easy to clean. Installation was a snap. Nice and roomy inside. VERY quiet. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
