I am so happy with this freezer. Love the drawers and door shelves. It seals great and runs quietly. Large capacity!! I know it's kinda weird to be so excited about a freezer... but there it is.

We just got this upright Whirlpool freezer and I love it. It has so much space and I can see everything in it! My other freezer is a bottom freezer as part of the refrigerator and I can't find anything in there. This is a huge step up! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I purchased a Whirlpool upright freezer, Model #EV201NZTQ. Shortly after the purchase of the freezer I bought a half of a pig which I stored in the freezer. The freezer malfunctioned and became stuck on "automatic defrost". Since I have my freezer in the basement, I was unaware that all the meat was defrosting. All the meat spoiled. I lost over $300.00. Whirlpool gave me $50 as a goodwill gesture. I called Whirlpool's main 800# to complain. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was put on hold indefinitely. No supervisor ever came to the phone. BUYER BEWARE!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nitpicker3 About as good as the freezer it replaced.
This freezer is holding the zero degrees temperature consistently in hot weather and cold. Its predecessor had an external reset button for the temperature alarm, glass shelves, and better-shaped space in the door shelves. This one requires that one open the door to reset the temperature alarm although the interior temperature has already dropped alarmingly. It has wire shelves, which are adequate if nothing drips through when the power goes out as it sometimes does here in tornado alley. How easy to clean will the wire shelves be? The storage in the door is awkwardly shaped but repositionable. This freezer shouldn't be placed where the external temperature drops below 40 degrees F, a "feature' not documented in the sales literature. Ours is in the garage where the temperature can go lower when the garage door is up. We'll see how that works out.

I have no idea if I like this freezer since it hasn't worked right since I bought it 3 months ago. I can say that I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool product as they do not stand behind what they sell. They have sent technicians out to my home 4 times and have not been able to fix the freezer but refuse to replace it or give me my money back!! The freezer will not freeze bread, ice cream, lemonade etc., so not only do I not have a freezer that doesn't work, I also have food that's junk. I'm going to head to small claims court just to try and get some resolution to this "new" freezer I bought that doesn't freeze!!
Someone else posted how awful Whirlpool was to deal with, and believe me I wish I would have heeded their warning. DON'T BUY THEIR PRODUCT IF YOU WANT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. You'll be sorry. Do your research.

I just got this freezer and while it does have an alarm if it gets too warm, is there any way to tell what the actual inside temperature is? Is has the snowflakes and it came set on the middle snowflake. There is one to the right to majke it colder but I don't know if that is necessary.

Lots of functional space. The pullout drawers are a great feature.
