Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rj52 Great Ovens
These ovens have made life so much easier. They are an inch or more wider than others internally, making it easier to buy baking pans. They preheat to about 450 in just 6 minutes or so and cook very evenly. Others have said the fans are noisy, but with built in ovens, you need the fan to circulate the heat out and it's much quieter than the oven I replaced. The teenager wanted to make cookies and mistakenly made a batch that was for 13 dozen.....she was done in just over an hour using 2 ovens. I installed them with a friend in just over 45 minutes. Needed a friend to help put them in the cabinet as they weigh about 225 lbs, but otherwise very easy as the cord was already attached, unlike so many other appliances that want you to pay an extra $35-$50 for the stupid cord.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DK67 Has Problems. Whirlpool Customer Service is terrible!
I purchased this oven to replace a single oven that was already in the house I purchased. I couldn't go any wider with the existing hole in the cabinet, so this is about the only thing I could find...and having a double oven would definitely come in handy. I modified the cabinet myself and installed myself...it was relatively easy if you have DIY experience and can wire up a 220 line. It does look really nice too.
I've had the oven for a year and a half now and already on service call #3. The first was within the first year to replace the fan which started making loud noises. That was paid for under factory warranty. A few weeks ago I decide to run the self-cleaning feature on the upper over. It didn't run all the way through and afterwards, my top oven no longer worked, the bottom oven still did.
I called Whirlpool who wouldn't take care of the problem at all and instead sold me the $288 1 year warranty instead, which they would cover this problem under. I wasn't happy, but figured it was going to cost me $100 service call + part cost + labor, so I'd probably be in that deep anyway...might as well cover myself for the year instead. Well, they replaced a small safety thermostat in the back that supposedly blows if the oven gets too hot, and then it worked afterwards. I could replace it myself now that I've seen it (remove back panel and it's attached with two screws and wires plug right in), but the oven needs to be pulled out of the wall. Why they didn't design something that could be reset from the front, like a breaker, I do not know. After the tech left, I tried the self-cleaning again and it blew out again...top oven doesn't work again.
So I call Whirlpool complaining about the quality and that the self-cleaning feature is the problem and I want a replacement oven. They said it's now the responsibility of the warranty company now...and wouldn't do a darn thing. I call the warranty company and they say the same problem has to occur 3 times before they'll replace, so they set up another service call. Guess what, I'm going to have them replace the same part, short it out again, call back, have them replace, short it out again and force them to replace it with a new one...and then pray the new one doesn't have the same problem.
The oven seems to work fine as long as I don't use the self-clean, but the company's customer service was terrible and I now question the longevity of this oven as the quality seems pretty shoddy. I also bought a new Whirlpool dishwasher about a month after I purchased the oven so it would match the finish, and have already replaced the front control board under the one year warranty also. At least that was under $500 and I can pitch it if it breaks down again (no longer under warranty).
I cannot recommend this oven unless you have absolutely no other option that fits your cabinet space. This is the absolute last Whirlpool appliance I will ever buy. Thank god I bought an LG fridge! I will be posting this review wherever I can find that this oven is sold. I'm curious to see if others use the self-cleaning feature without problem or maybe some don't use it at all. I wish I would have tried it while it was still under warranty, but didn't expect any problems with such a young unit. I wouldn't even have minded if customer service stepped up and took care of me, but they brushed me off without any regard. Be prepared to spend hundreds on the extended warranty if you purchase this oven...it's not cheap either.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by BusyDad It's an ok oven
The preheat takes around 14 minutes to get to 425 the 1980 model that this replaced was much faster. It also takes a long time to cool down. Like I said it is an ok oven nothing real spectacular but does its job. If you do decide to buy it I would never buy from Home Depot online again it was a week late and horrible customer service I spent no less than 2 hours on the phone and Home Depot did not do anything just give me a number to call whirlpool. Amazon and lowes has the same oven.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Chris great upgrade for small cabinet space
This oven was a replacement oven for a home that is up for sale. It enhanced the kitchen appearance and the resale value of the house. Its cooking space is more than adequate. Features are easy to use.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Johnnyice A decent choice
I had to purchase this brand again because it's a built-in and I didn't want to re-size the cabinet opening. It looks decent, and seems about as good as the old Whirlpool double oven it replaced of 10 years. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I think an oven should last more than 10 years. I couldn't repair the old one because the company discontinued the control panel and nobody had a reasonably priced replacement. Why did I go back to another Whirlpool when the company leaves you in the lurch? Because changing the cabinet would have been prohibitive in cost. I hope this one lasts longer than the last one, but I have my doubts. Home Depot was great getting this to me in a couple days...kudos to them. It fit in just like the old one which made the swap easy, but I wish I could have bought another brand just so as not to reward Whirlpool for discontinuing parts on an older oven.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lizzie A terrific oven.
Unbeknown to me Home Depot does not install ovens, so I, and my handy man, put it in. However, it is way better than my last oven. It heats quicky and heat is even. A very good oven.
