This refrigerator is mostly made in America and seems to be of very good quality. It must be insulated well because it rarely runs, and when it does, it's VERY quiet. It is designed in such a way that it is easy to see what is in it. Very happy with this purchase.

Purchased our Whirlpool in Glasgow, De. My sells representative from Home Depot told me to do the following: Before using, wash the refrigerator using a soft cloth and Dawn dish detergent. Dry off with another clean soft cloth. This representative put on the stainless steel removing prints products out of business! This works. Just remember do it first. Now for the refrigerator. It runs quiet, simple features (our choice to control repair cost) love the shelves and how they adjust. cleans easily using Dawn. Would recommend. After a year of use I will update if there are any problems.

I was concerned the stainless French door refrigerator would look too industrial in my kitchen, which is completely open to the living area, but It blends in well, even considering that all new refrigerators are somewhat deeper than they were ten years ago, unless you want to upgrade to a counter depth and pay more. We've had a black side-by-side for ten years, which I've always loved the look of, but the French door's interior design made more practical sense because larger things will fit inside (like pizza boxes!) that don't fit in a side-by-side. I love the two-tiered freezer basket design, too. Everything works perfectly; the freezer and refrigerator suggested settings keep the food at the right temp, and it's very quiet. I'd definitely buy this one again, if I could do it all over...and I was skeptical.

This fridge is very sleek looking, has a lot of room inside and is set up very nicely. The bottom freezer allows a lot more space up top compared to the side by sides. We love this fridge!

I've only had this frig for a couple weeks. Its well laid out, easy to get shelves in and adjusted to meet my needs. The main area seems to hold more than my previous larger frig. The look, smooth operation, well laid out shelfs and storage capacity are best features. Cons are condensation accumulates quickly on the small flap on the left door. That in turn drips down and accumulates on the inside top of the freezer door. Its going to require weekly cleaning to avoid problems. The freezer drawers rails could have been designed better. The freezer is a bit of an awkward layout but I was able to adapt. Overall I'm pleased with this unit, and I guess as a tall person having the main fridge high has been the best.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DTinHPP Love it but needed to jerry rig the wide drawer
Very much like our new Whirlpool refrigerator. Keeps food nice and cold, icemaker works great, etc. I only have a handful of complaints:
--There is no water filter. We live in rural area on catchment/cistern water and it helps. Will probably add an in-line filter somewhere down the line.
--You must be careful closing the doors. If you close the right-hand door first, the left door can pop back open. Gently closing left door first helps.
--The stainless steel does show all hand and fingerprints. A good stainless steel spray cleaner helps, but so does keeping your hands off the doors! Use the handles only.
--Very hard for freezer to hold a full-size frozen pizza. I understand older models had an inside pocket just inside the door front that did this. I have to lie the pizza flat and rearrange everything to accommodate it.
--The most important issue for us has been the wide drawer. We keep bread in ours so it is opened and closed quite frequently. You are supposed to pull the drawer and the lid then pops up. (Careful! Pulling up that lid instead of pulling the drawer will make the lid pop off the plastic dowels that hold it!) Even when using it correctly, at least once a day this thing would pop off the pegs that hold it. This is because the pegs are too short. Also, if you look carefully, you will see that just above this drawer and under the two veggie/deli bins, there is a rod that goes the width of the door. This rod is about a 1/4 to 1/2" short. Because of its looseness, the wide drawer lid will catch on it and bam, it pops off its pegs. SO...i had to come up with a way to stop this... I cut a piece of cork from a wine bottle the width of the gap. This stopped the rod from moving and catching on the wide drawer lid. Then I put a small piece of twisty wire (like from a loaf of bread) around the pegs the lid pivots on, so that the lid doesn't shift side to side. Note the cork had to be flattened on one side to accommodate the drawer lid pivoting. Now, fixed, and it works perfectly! Def a design flaw, but fixable. (photo attached) I hope I saved someone some hassle.
