Customer Questions & Answers

Is it includes power core or have to buy separate

Asked by: JennyTT
Yes mine has the power cord. However the website DOES say you must purchase one, along with a semi-rigid vent but the power cord came attached to mine.

3.4 cu. ft. Electric Dryer in White is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 179.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good / Cheaply made Do small loads and you'll be fine - takes approx 20 - 30 minutes longer than a 220V machine - Made pretty cheap as you can tell by the "plastic door catch" that does not line up correctly. You pretty much have to SLAM the door shut every time. ( I read about this issue in the reviews before purchase). I recommended Whirlpool please address this problem. Door is flimsy and does not shut 100% [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Compact, draws about 12amps, takes a little long to dry and pricey. I am limited on outlets/power and space. A 120v compact dryer seemed like the only solution. I chose whirlpool over the cheaper model competitors, hoping for better quality. It is twice the price, but hopefully it will last. As I said I have limited outlets/power where I needed it. I could not get an answer as to how many amps it actually draws. I was told it requires a 15amp or 20amp dedicated circuit. This didn't help or make sense. In my case I have a 20amp circuit and if it requires only 15amp, then I still should be able to plug stuff in on that circuit, if it draws less than 5amps. So I went and ordered it under this assumption. Once I got it hooked up, I tested it at the panel with a clamp on ampmeter. The highest I saw was 11.8 amps with just the dryer running. So I would say anything 5amps or less combined with dryer on a 20amp circuit should be fine. As far as operation, it does take some time to dry. Only ran one fairly hefty load so far and took about 1.5hrs. I can live with that, given the circumstances and design. My only complaint so far is the price. Seems like a lot for a tiny dryer, considering you can buy a full size for $200 less. My spaces between paragraphs are not working on here. Sorry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for an RV This stackable dryer was a welcome inclusion in our new 2017 RV, and the fact it was a Whirlpool was a bonus! Due to the fact it is in our "home away from home" we have had limited time to use it. As it is a Whirlpool we are confident in its dependability and the design works well for the space available. It's small capacity limits the amount of clothes that can be dried at any one time. Sometimes it's necessary to split the washed clothes into 2 dryer loads but that is to be expected due to it's size. Overall, we are pleased with this appliance. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Whirlpool dryer! We've owned a motorhome with a washer/dryer combination machine, and found that the clothes got washed OK, but they were barely "dry!" I'm loving my new Westinghouse compact dryer - now fold the clothes after they are dry instead of draping them all over the motorhome to finish drying! Hooray! And the Energy rating is very high, so I know I am using electricity wisely, which my hubby appreciates. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Condo or Apartment I put the dryer inside my closet in my hallway. It fits perfectly. I find that the clothes get dry by setting a time, rather than picking perm press. Be prepared to take a good 2 hours to get a small load dry. I found this normal with my previous dryer also, so this has no bearing on Whirlpool at all. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It Does the Job We haven't even had it for 2 years yet, but it works ok. We have had to replace the lint trap because the plastic cracked, but everything else has been fine. It's hard to clean behind the lint trap and in the dryer vent. I wish there was an option to turn off the signal when it's done. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Build quality is low, front door catch is the cheapest piece of plastic whirlpool could find at the dollar store. Smaller than expected capacity but dry's the clothes. Add 30 minutes compared with a 220v dryer. Plan on setting this machine on top of something for it's too low to operate on floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I need in a dryer I am very pleased with my compact dryer. It does an awesome job. Works just as well as my regular sized whirlpool dryer in my home. It is in my motor home and it's just so convenient. No more looking for laundramats while traveling. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
