My cut out height is 46 inch..does it work?

Asked by: Stan
With such poor temperature control it wouldn't work well in any size cutout.

is there an electrical lead from the appliance? how long is it? what is the recommended height for the electrical rough in?

Asked by: ganymede
Don't worry about it. HD won't publish negative reviews, so let's just say look elsewhere for an oven of a different make.

If something goes wrong with the microwave do you have to replace the oven also ?

Asked by: jg
This is the standard builder model in our new neighborhood. You're going to want to replace the oven in a few months once you realize the baking temperature is uncontrollable for accuracy and shelf cooking differences are so badso I wouldn't worry about the microwave failing first.

Is Oven Convection or not???

In spec next to Oven Convection it says "no" but in Oven Features just below that it says it is convection. So which statement is correct???
Asked by: KO
In a manner of speaking. It burns on the bottom shelf and undercooks on the top. This can only be attributed to convection. But no, it does not include a fan.

30 in. Electric Wall Oven with Built-In Microwave in Stainless Steel is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 249.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lemon My unit is 5 years old, and the builder installed it when building my home. In that time, two of the microwave's electronic components have failed, with each repair costing over $600. When the first failure happened, Whirlpool absolutely refused to held because I did not buy an extended warranty (why should a $2000+ appliance fail after 2 years?). I did not want to deal with the headache the second time, so I did not contact Whirlpool. To make matters worse, the three most reputable appliance repair companies in the Charlotte, North Carolina region won't work on this model because it breaks so frequently. Now that the microwave has failed for the third time, I feel like I must tell customers to stay away from this product and this company.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too loud when it's on This oven makes more noise than any oven I have ever owned. It's annoying. Very upset this is the product the builder has you pay extra for. They must get a good deal on them because no one in their right mind would deliberately buy one if they knew how loud it is. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the unit except.... Someone (either Home Depot or Whirlpool) did not include the user’s man... Love the unit except.... Someone (either Home Depot or Whirlpool) did not include the user’s manual which is instrumental to my review. The manual that was provided did not mention a critical fact: DO NOT LINE YOUR OVEN WITH ALUMINUM FOIL which is prominently stated in the missing manual. We had a roast for Christmas meal and, like we have done for decades, we lined the bottom to not mess up our brand new (five days) beautiful oven. The foil melted on the bottom. It seems that ovens with a hidden lower burner gets very hot to pass that heat to the oven cavity. Originally I was told by both Home Depot and Whirlpool, that it was an "operator error". I challenged that by stating how was I to know if the critical manual was not delivered. Home Depot did print out the missing manual for me after I went in to complain. I called Whirlpool and they also told me it was operator error but when I explained that I did not get the user's manual, the agent said that as a goodwill gesture, they would make it right. She ordered a part and contacted a local company to install it. Last Monday (1/9/17) the local company showed up. They told me it was the wrong part. It seems the entire oven cavity needs to be replaced and that part is not available. I called Whirlpool and after a long conversation they basically told me "Sorry there is nothing they can do". Please note the ALL the call center agents were professional and provided excellent service. Given that it was a significant oversight from either Home Depot or Whirlpool and that Whirlpool will not let the technicians replace the cavity, I do not find it unreasonable to have the unit replaced. We keep appliances for many years and this will be a reminder every day on this issue.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not happy I bought this combination oven for my new house. The microwave is excellent, but the oven is not good. It very noisy. The fan runs constantly and the oven temperature is low. It takes forever to bake with it. I just raised the temperature (calibrated it) 30 degree to see if it helps. The design is good!!! I had a combination oven from whirlpool in my last house too and I loved it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Oven Smell and Disfunctional Microwave As of now the unit I received with my new home is unusable. The chemical smell from the oven is terrible, giving me headaches, though I have done burn off periods totaling at least 7-8 hours. I keep being told "that's just how new some new ovens are, you have to burn it off". How many hours? 15? 30? 100? The microwave is so strange, even after almost 6 minutes a normal sized cup of water hasn't boiled. I had service came out and was told "that's just how these newer microwaves are". Basically because one inch of water steamed in a minute there is nothing wrong with it. Really? Who heats up 1 inch of water? I had a frozen dinner that after 8 minutes was still lukewarm. I am very disappointed and feel there is nothing I can do but cook only on the stove at this point.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from MICRO WAVE THAT ONLY WORKS 80% OF THE TIME RATING ZERO FROM THE VERY BEGINNING (9/16) THIS COMBO HAS HAD PROBLEMS WHEN THE MICRO WAVE DID NOT WORK. WE HAVE CONTACTED TWO REPS BUT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM. NOW FINALLY NEXT WEEK (1/2017) WE SHOULD GET A REPLACEMENT UNIT. I HOPE THAT THIS ONE WORKS. (TWO OTHER NEIGHBORS HAD THE SAME/SIMILAR PROBLEM-AND HAD UNIT REPLACED, ONE TIME TWICE) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this new unit... Love this new unit. I needed to replace my 29 year old Whirlpool combination microwave/oven when the microwave finally gave up! This new unit fits in the same opening, yet the interior of the microwave and oven has more usable space! Controls are easy to learn. I haven't had to clean it, yet, so no opinion on that feature. Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good We bought this appliance four (4) weeks ago and so far everything works as described. The microwave works well and the oven seems to cook and hold temps well. The only complaint is the touch controls on the microwave are more than a touch as you have to push them very firmly. This is a minor nuisance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
