Inside bottom of oven paint/coating bubbled up and rusted. Whirlpool will not stand by their product because it is just over the year warranty. They refuse to call it a manufacturing defect. Rather an OVEN FAILURE. Would not even send a service person to look at it.

Upon installation right out of the box, the installing electricial was very concerned about the light duty of this oven. He ran 4 ga or 6 ga wiring from the panel a short distnace to the oven's wall outlet. He told us it may be a problem because the oven had such extremely light duty wiring. Sure enough he was dead on. The oven takes 15 minute to get to 350. This has been a day 1 problem having to wait what seems like forever to get this oven up to temp.
The warranty expires in about a week, so we are going to try to get it replaced.
It is no wonder that Whirlpool continues to send us letter-after-letter suggesting we opt for the extended warranty. My belief is that if their ovens cannot function for several years without the need of an extended warranty, we should not have purchased one. We regret it now. In fact our old oven was around 20 years old. It was a Hotpoint and only required one heating element in those 20 years.
We purchased this unit in stainless steel because we also pruchased at the same time the coordinating fridge and built-in microwave. The dealer even gave incorrect microwave dimensions to the interior designer and we had to replace a $4,000 custom built cabinet. We learned that the day of appliance installation by the cabinet installer.
We have been very sorry for spending the $1,000 for this, what now appears to be, very light duty and malfunctoning oven.
My wife is an atrisan bread baker and it now has begun to burn the bread in 10 minutes. We noticed a problem last week when it burned a homemade apple pie in what appeared long before it should have been fully baked. This oven has problems; is too light duty, and although it may be efficient, it takes forever to reach its programmed temperature.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Harry The oven is well designed, great aesthetics.
Bought it online and was promptly delivered. Very easy to install with the whirlpool easyfit even for a layman like me. Looks nice in the kitchen. Have used it only once yet and so far meets the expectations.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TMAC Product was great until I ran the self cleaning mode
We just purchased this oven in January 2013 and it worked great. Then two weeks ago I used the self cleaning feature and before the oven could finish cleaning, it shut off. The oven door was locked and I was unable to use it. I called Whirlpool and they scheduled an appointment for a technician to come out 5 days later only to find out that both thermostats had blown because of the self cleaning cycle. Either the oven is self cleaning or its not. The technician did not have the parts so he was nice enough to put a rush on the order and asked that I call back into the office once the parts arrived. I did that but now the company that Whirlpool sent to repair the oven can't send a technician out until September 11th. Two days short of 3 weeks, now that I have the parts in hand! This is utterly ridiculous! If you want a self cleaning oven, I don't recommend this one because your thermostats may blow and you may be a family of five without an oven for a month!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Shannon VERY LOUD OVEN Whirpool can't figure out the problem
Don't buy this oven!! It is so LOUD the fan vibrates likes an airplane talking off and the noise can be heard upstairs. We have had 4 fans replaced and today the repair guy tried to trick us by disconnecting the fan and saying he fixed it! This caused a fire hazard since the oven won't vent the hot air out! I turned off all power to this oven at the electric box. We are trying to get a replacement. If I had the choice I would get an entirely different oven!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Meli Worst oven ever!
Hasn't cooked consistently at all, almost always way under baked on all. Takes forever to preheat and Don't open the door or it drops 50 degrees in 5 seconds!,!! Can't use any foil liners and have read nothing but complaints on it being ruined once you use the cleaning feature, so guess it's made to be a disposable oven for this insane price!? We have to replace it after just ONE year. Save your money and buy any other oven!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rick Problems with self-cleaning
Bought this oven April 2014 and used the self cleaning the beginning of Aug 2014. The oven went totally dead. Called Whirlpool and they sent out a repair person. That process took over 2 weeks to get the oven fix. Because of the heat the front fuse blew causing the fan to stop working making the back fuse blow also. Both fuses were replaced on Monday 8/11 and on Friday 8/15 just using the oven to bake some bread for 12 minutes and it went dead again. The repair folks think the circuit board is now bad causing the temperature to run away blowing the fuses again. From what I get from the repair person using the self cleaning feature is not a good thing to do.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clifford Love the look, haven't used it much though
Hard to review something that you have used much, we have had approximately 1 month. We don't use an oven much, we seem to grill out lots, and cook stuff on stove top, not much baking going on. But for the few occasions used, it has worked as it should. Was worried about my original measurements on this product, but fit exactly as it should have in the space measured.
