Save your money and buy another cooktop from Home Depot. You won't find anything that will clean and shine this cooktop. The best thing I found was the Norwex window cloths. One cloth is wet and the other is dry. You use them both. We bought this because we were upgrading our kitchen to sell our house. I didn't have it a day and it was full of scratches. That isn't a joke either. I had new pots and pans too. I complained to Whirlpool because this, in my opinion, is acceptable. They said they won't cover it because it's 'cosmetic'. Well I BOUGHT it for cosmetic reasons otherwise I would have kept my old 12 year old Thermador. My Thermador was awesome - best cooktop ever but it was showing signs of wear, but that's expected after 12 years of cooking. Scratches and stains that won't come off? Who would settle for that? The second day I had it, some water boiled over. Just water. After it cooled I used what I always have used - cooktop cleaner and a nylon scratch pad. It wouldn't come off. I complained again to Whirlpool. They sent me out THEIR cleaning product kit. Because I guess it's different than what I had bought at Home Depot that was for flat top cooktops. So I used that. It didn't come off. I scrubbed and scrubbed using their cleaner and scouring pad. Well then it was worse. Not only did it NOT take the stains off, but it totally took the black finish off! This is where I give a huge shout out to Home Depot. Whirlpool wouldn't do the right thing, but Home Depot did. They stood behind the product. Just today, the manager allowed me to order a different cooktop. Do I need to say it wasn't Whirlpool? Whirlpool just lost my business. We are buildings a new house, and hopefully it's not too late, because I'm going to cancel my order of 2 small whirlpool refrigerators- one for the pantry and one for the bar area, and get another brand. I've been in sales for 25 years and I know how to treat customers. I will make them happy no matter what. Because that one unhappy customer can drive away hundreds more. Because Home Depot did the right thing, I will shop there from now on for everything. Thanks Home Depot.
PS - I tried posting this review on Whirlpool and they wouldn't let it past. I guess the truth doesn't work for them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by MikeC Awesome Cooktop for the Price!
We just bought a "fixer-upper" and needed a cooktop to replace the existing broken one, just to get us by for a couple years until the kitchen can be completely renovated. This was the cheapest cooktop I could find, and was not expecting much. I was delightfully surprised to see how nice the knobs feel, and even more pleased at how fast the elements heat up. There is not an abundance of features, but for the price, this cooktop is an amazing value! Very happy with the purchase!

Our cooktop has been wonderful so far. It has been an adaptation to learn to cook on it, as it heats up more quickly than our old electric coil cooker. It is easy to clean and has a sleek look.
