Not spin dry complaint on many comments

What are the users doing so that many, many of them say the clothes are dripping wet after the cycle?
Asked by: Bwana
Consumers are a fickle bunch. This washer is rated at 660rpm for the spin cycle so it's not that high of spin cycle. However, if you look at reviews of machines that have a spin cycle above 800rpm there are a large number of complaining users who say the clothes are too wrinkled and need to be ironed. Well, if the spin cycle is slower, then the clothes will be more wet out of the washer, and less wrinkles when out of the washer. If the spin cycle is fast, then clothes are dryer but more wrinkled coming out of the washer. You can't win when everybody has something to complain about. The answer is to remove your clothes from the washer and dry them as quickly as you can after the washer has completed. Those wrinkles that form in the wash spin cycle get removed in the dryer. If a machine has a very fast spin cycle and the user leaves clothes in the washer long after the washer has stopped, then yeah those wrinkles will be harder to remove when in the dryer. It's laundry, so it requires some work. These machines are a lot better than the very old fashion machines where clothes had to be put through a wringer. We forget how good we actually do have it. However, I will also say that it seems like most appliances used to be made very sturdy and strong so that they will last. These days I believe they are designed to be replaced in 5-10 years and maybe even just 5 years. The electronics have become the "gee whiz" factor, but in reality creating a fancy looking touch control is not costly. These companies need to use better parts with better connections, but instead we see motors, pulleys, and gears failing way too early. It's 2017 there should NOT be a single washing machine out there that is not a direct drive, but we still see the use of belts that wear too quickly and/or the mechanism goes out of alignment. There really is no excuse for those things to happen to a machine that is less than at least 7 years old, except for built-in and designed-in obsolescence.

My machine is VERY LOUD...Actually sounds like a jet plane..It works perfectly fine, but the sound is really annoying.

Asked by: Pats
My washer is so quiet I cannot tell if it is running. There must be an intermittent manufacturing or user problem. It is QUIET!

how come there is no center agitator?

how does it clean the clothes if they don't circulate in the tub?.....and how much water does it use?
Asked by: hoser
I have had with and without agetator and the without leaves my clothes dirty. Dust on socks , small grass clippings from yard work are left on socks and work shirts. New technology saves water but you don't get clean clothes.

Also, in order to add fabric softener, you have to stop the machine during rinse cycle, and add it manually. There is no automatic dispenser. Not sure how well the soap is agitated, as this uses little water. Laundry experts suggest clothing swirling around loose in lots of water get a better wash, but this machine does not do that. Original machine arrived faulty, and I was bounced around by HD customer service teams for more than 8 hours to get this dealt with. 2 weeks after original delivery, I now have the fixed machine. But the poor customer service has put me off buying anything from HD again.

I recently reviewed this machine shortly after purchasing it and gave it a very negative review. After using the washer for several weeks I have slowly changed my mind about it's performance. I originally complained about the lack of water. But later I began using the deep water cycle and also the 2 rinse option and become more impressed with this washer. By checking the amount of suds in the washer I was able to reduce the amount of soap I use and I also notice stains that had remained in my cloths after washing with my previous washer, were now starting to disappear. Am slowly becoming a believer.

I got a really great deal on this machine for a Labor Day 2016 Special. I paid $480 all in: delivery, new hose, installation. I was happy with the price, great service too! Long story short: it gets the job done, but has some quips to deal with. Unabridged version: -Once you choose a load cycle your stuck with it. Most top loaders allow to add clothing after pressing start. But the lid is locked once you press start, no adding clothes you forgot afterwards. Cancelling is a slow process of a minute or two. -Which means water doesn't flow until you press start with clothes and detergent inside. I prefer having water in the unit mixed with detergent then adding clothes. Direct contact of detergent on clothes isn't good. -There is no softener compartment. Just bleach. Which requires a softener ball, because the lid is locked for the duration of the wash. -The biggest complaint is length of time for washing. A normal wash probably last an hour at least . Whatever cycle you choose, you'll always be ready before the machine. It's a set it and forget it type. I do have quite a few complaints but it's an economical unit and my budget was restrained at the time. It gets the job done and I'd recommend ONLY if money is an issue. Otherwise shop around, it has some flaws that can be inconvenient.

Quality, mid-range, American made, high-efficiency washer. You can go out an spend a lot more money, well into the thousands, and you can get some fancy machine, with all the bells and whistles, and if you need a sink inside your washer...yeah, that's a thing...then go ahead and waste your hard earned cash on novelties that you'll never use. This washer has more than enough features to handle all of your different types of laundry. It does a great job cleaning. It does NOT have a touch-screen control panel, which in my opinion is BETTER. They break, and they'e not cheap, don't want it! I don't need a clock on my washer... ;) The wash times are average. Quick wash is about 30 min, Heavy load, maybe 45 min. It's SO much easier to fill and empty without an agitator in the way! It's a little bit shorter vertically than my old unit, which makes it easier for my short wife to reach into the machine. Yes, as others have stated, believe it or not, machines sometimes make some noise...lol...It's really not that bad at all. When the dryer is on too, you can barely hear the washer. The spin cycle is excellent! It really get's all of the water out of your clothing, which is GREAT for drying times. I bought this and matching dryer. I spent less than $1100 for both machines, and 5-year warranty for both. I just don't see how anyone could find a better machine in this price range. Highly recommend to sensible people, who just want a decent washer, without breaking the bank.

I received my washer recently (about 1 week ago) and I am very satisfied with my new Whirlpool HE washer is very quiet. The built-in sensor in the washer does all the work of balancing out the load and the amount of water necessary for the cycle to proceed. This added feature is extremely accurate and I love it! The washer does a thorough job of getting out the toughest stains. I highly recommend this appliance.

It does get a little off balanced if you wash more than 2 sets of sheets, but other than that it cleans really well. You don't have to use much detergent either. WE have had it about a month now, and no problems at all. Love all the different settings, and how it can tell how much water to add. Quick turn around too on how long it takes to wash.

This ads to the length of the wash cycle by about 50%. It also make strange noises while it's running. It also twists some items into a knot. All of that taken into consideration, I still like it. It can handle large items such as bedding. It washes well. It is smoother than any other unit I've ever owned on spin cycle and has many different settings. It feels like a quality item, but time will tell. It replaced an Amana that lasted 6 years and needed a water inlet solenoid. I bought this washer instead of repairing the trusty Amana. Will I regret it?

I hate to write a negative review but I want to warn anyone who is shopping around for a decent washer at a affordable price. This isn't worth it. Trust me. It worked fine for a year and now, the spin cycle is enough to raise the dead! I have to stop it all the time and when I open the lid, the clothes are evenly placed, so there's no reason for it to be pounding like it does. Now, it happens with every load! I am about to go nuts with this thing! I bought it because of the price and now I see why. Never again.
