Answer:
The height to the top of the range cook top is approx 36". The grates would sit approx 1 - 2" above that. The height to the top of the backsplash is approx 46¼".

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 621 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by whirlpool gas range After having this gas range for less than 2 years started having problems with the oven shutting down and the time started flashing ,called Whirlpool and they said if I would buy a 1 year warranty that it would cover service and parts ,why would I spend more money on something that would not last more than 2 years . DONT BUY WHIRLPOOL December 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good stove ThIs stove is not as deep as others but the oven space is larger. The broiler drawer in the bottom Is not a seperate heating element so to broil you're still heating up the whole stove.I really like the burners and flame intensity on stove top. The grates sit up pretty high which i'm strating to like but was unsure of at first. October 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stove! Just wish I would have paid attention to the fine print. No self clean- oven. Mistakenly thought in this day and age they all had them. Otherwise, a great stove and just love the grates that cover the whole top of the stove. Oven temp is quickly reached and it holds very near the setting. No complaints September 29, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by gas range the broiler is in the bottom do not like because the door is very hot. August 19, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Has flaws At first we really liked this range. Now that we've had it a while, not so much. The front burners are very powerful. The problem is that the range of heat is poor. You cannot cook slowly on the front burners. Also, I think somebody spilled some milk on the front-- it turns out the door is not sealed and they got milk on the INSIDE, between two pieces of glass! I had to take apart the door to clean it. Gonna try some hi-temp silicone to seal the front gap. I also find the clock hard to read from across the room. June 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great online purchase! I'm in love with my new gas stove. The online picture does not do justice on how amazing this gas stove really looks. Easy to order, easy process of delivery, even carried the old on out. Great customer service. Five stars all the way around for the gas stove and Home Depot. March 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice range Overall I think the range is very nice, however, when running the oven the exterior gets extremely hot, so hot that if I had small children it would be reason enough to return this model for something different. Also I was surprised that it wasn't self cleaning, I thought all ranges nowadays were self cleaning! February 17, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mediocre at best Unit gets very hot - from top to bottom, when in use. I like to put things on top of my oven for storage, like a shelf. These items get very hot. Even the things hanging on the wall above the oven get super hot. Oven door has poor insulation - gets very hot. Not great for small kids. Large burners are very powerful - not sure if this is a feature or a bug - it means that even on the lowest setting, it's too hot for a low simmer. But I guess that's what the back burners are for. Broiler is under the oven. This means no storage below. Only comes with two racks. I like to keep two racks in the main oven. This means when I need to use the broiler, I need to move a rack to the broiler. The racks are flimsy. I am sure they will bend a lot when I have to do my first glass dish with a thick big casserole (e.g. lasagna). The metal just is too thin. Also the wires of the rack are too far apart. I'd prefer them to be closer together. The oven capacity/volume/dimension is/are small. This means that if you put two sheet pans on the same rack, you run the risk of blocking the air flow throughout the oven. The burner is below the oven compartment and the temp sensor is at the top of the oven. WHen you block air flow, the temp sensor never gets hot enough, so the top of the oven is at 325 and the bottom is at 500 because the burner continues to run while the heat never gets to the sensor. Result? Burnt cookies. Also, you can't use large sheet pans (3/4 of a full size is too big - will not permit sufficient air flow). One 1/2 size pan per rack is all I would recommend per rack. Biggest problem - I have found the temperature to be inconsistent. If nothing is in the oven, it works fine. But if anything is in the oven, even a small item that still permits plenty of air flow, I find the temperature to be variable by 75 degrees on either side, which is an enormous variation. Yes, I allow time for the air to adjust and I account for the opening and shutting of the oven door. It was the cheapest oven and I got what I paid for. May 4, 2016
