Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 107 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Gas Range! I bought the Whrilpool gas range in December of last year (2014) and so far I love it! The design is sleek and nice. It's easy to clean, and I am fond of the 5 burner option. 2 of the 5 burners are at the simmer level (two back burners). It also comes with a griddle which I have yet to use, but I'm sure will come in handy. Everything works wonderfully and the oven heats up quickly. PROS: Sleek nice design- 5 burner black and stainless steel Easy to clean Quick to heat Even heating Griddle included Price/Value CONS: Really the only con so far is the loudness of the buttons when you set the oven or timer. However, it does mean that you can hear when the oven is preheated and when the timer goes off, so it's a very minor con. January 6, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by One of my saddest purchases ever! I was so excited because this oven was going to be bigger than my last one... then reality set in... Don't be misled by the oven size. The oven racks are poorly designed, you will lose several inches of your normal shelf space because of the "lip" on the back and because the racks do not go come close to the edge of the oven door. The spacing in the racks are an issue because they are widely spaced, so things fall through very easily and if pans are not placed correctly, they can lean to one side easily. If you are short or have short arms, don't even consider this oven. The racks barely come out half way. Which makes taking hot items out very tricky, especially if it's heavy because you are leaning over a very large oven door. If you are an occasional baker you might be okay but if you use your oven a lot and are used to getting a lot into your oven, this will be a disappointment. The stove top "looks" neat, cooks fairly well but don't be misled by the five burner. If you use more than 2 quarts pans you will never use all five at a time. Yet, if you have a butter warmer (small pan) they can easily fall through the cast iron grate on the stove top. I have tried to fall in love with my new range but at about 6 months later, I can honestly say, I hope to buy a new one very soon. It looks neat but I can't help but wonder if the designer of this range did much cooking at all or just owns a microwave. On the positive side, I now know all the mistakes NOT to make with my next purchase. October 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great range We bought the display model from our local store a few months ago, and we couldn't be happier. It's much more efficient and looks much better than the 20+ year old range we had. December 13, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hoping it will improve. Everything on the stovetop and panel is great. Love the oven size. Oven light only worked once and bulb shorted out. Oven temperatures are WAY off and everything is either under or over cooked. Got several oven thermometers to check the temps and when the oven says it's preheated to 350, both thermometers said 200. Adjusted the thermostat according to manual, didn't help, just made it get hotter. If set at 420, it goes back and forth from 300 to 480. Warranty repairman is trying to tell me that's normal. He is ordering a new sensor. That will take 2 weeks. Assuming that fixes the problem. I would absolutely love this stove if the oven worked properly. January 15, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by To New To Tell This decent size gas range seems to be pretty good. However, my range came (shipped) with a dent on the side. Not too big of one, and the black paint is not damaged (it's still glossy black without a scratch) -- it's just a hand sized dent. But, who wants a brand new range that's damaged in any why? I'll contact H_D and see if they'll compensate me in some way for said dent. Other than that, the 5th (or center) burner works fine but it's a very tight fit if you use most of the other burners at the same time as the 5th. The design jammed that 5th burner in there. If the 5th burner is important to you, you might want to get one that's elongated and with more space between the 4 other burners. It's a little to new to tell the overall quality of this range, but it seems to be average to good. It bakes well too. By the way, the sides are glossy black just like the cook-top. So the stainless steel you see in the pic (meaning the front only) is all that its clothed in (stainless steel in front only). January 6, 2015
