The fan in convection mode pushes the air out and around the interior of the oven cavity. You don't have to worry with food items getting sucked in. Thank you for viewing this Whirlpool home appliance.

Answer:
There are 4 burners, and 1 keep warm element. Two of the burners can be set for either a large cook surface or small, which is quite handy. The fifth element is a keep warm feature. It only runs on low heat and will keep a pot warm but won't cook or burn the food. Very nice feature.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 1154 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Impressed except for one small detail We've had the unit less than a week and so far it has performed flawlessly. The unit snugs nicely into the counter and cabinets and looks very finished, almost like a built in. The door handle looks to be milled out of a single piece of aluminum and has a very sculptural shape. The only issue we have is at both ends of this handle the aluminum is cut off sharply which fits well with the bracket but the cut also formed a very sharp point on the top and bottom edge (both sides). My wife ruined a shirt when she caught it on this point. Fortunately it was an easy fix with a small file and the repair is not even visible. June 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Love it! I love it.. really. Of course my old stove was about 25 years old so... Very spacious oven and heats up quickly. Feature are intuitive and minimalistic. The glass is kinda hard to clean, but then it is glass top. I LOVE the hidden element in oven... soooo much easier to clean. Getting used to cooking on glass top... burners glow red and then don't so I am always wondering if getting hot. (that's just me not reflection of stove) I also worry about scratching or breaking glass. What I wish I knew before purchase is what type of pans best for cooking on it, Stainless Steel is best. Anything else could scratch or discolor it. DO NOT use Aluminum on it or anything with a colored bottom. It is hard and expensive to find good nonstick Stainless Steel pans. December 31, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great range! Great range! Need to get used to keeping stainless steel clean and the glass cook top clean, but we really like it! Remember, you need to buy the power cord for it. It is easy to install, I did it myself (a girl) pretty fast. I just needed help caring it into the kitchen. The bottom drawer is a little small, but that helps you not over fill it, so I guess that is a god thing. October 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great experience to start our kitchen remodel As I mentioned in my review of the microwave we purchased along with this range, we are very please with our experience with Home Depot and the delivery guys. The cook top and controls are operating beyond our expectations. We have not used the oven, yet, but I like the storage and the fact that the range element is hidden. This should make cleaning a lot easier. February 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Nice Range!!! We have a BIG FAMILY and do lot's of cooking! And this range suits all of our needs. The oven is HUGE perfect and exactly what we were looking for! The stove top is amazing heats up VERY QUICKLY and cleans very easily. Overall we are very satisfied with our purchase and would highly recommend this range! July 24, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stops working after using aqualift! After 3 years the oven quit working. This was after using the aqualift. I called whirlpool. They would send a tech out for $269! I called a local appliance repair man and for $53 he told me the control panel burns out after using the high heat settings like after aqualift and it would cost me $500 to repair! Absolutely ridiculous that the oven's normal functions cause the control panel to burn out! This should be under manufacture warranty and should be replaced w a different model! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful design, great convection feature and huge oven! Fantastic value at this price! Beautiful design, very minimal and sleek with great features such as the huge convection oven plus the ability to use steam to clean the oven. I mean really, what a clever idea to soften all that stuff that sticks in the oven without smoking up the house!!! Nice smooth top with two flex cook elements plus a warming spot. My only complaint is that the bottom storage drawer is extremely flimsy and the door front metal is very thick with no solid structure. I'll rarely use it so I won't complain too much but if you have young kids in the house or you are a klutz use caution not to kick that drawer front! March 6, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Burners Turn Off Then On Then Off Then On PROS: The unit is very nice looking, and matches my other stainless appliances. It was affordable CONS: I guess I'm the only one having this problem? I read many reviews before purchasing and they were all raving about this unit, so I bought it. Here's the problem: When using any burner on high, it lights up red instantly (great!) but after a minute or so the burner goes black for several seconds, then goes bright red again...then goes black, then goes red....<-- repeat. It takes almost 20 minutes to boil a tiny pan full of water. This is not acceptable. If a brand new stove struggles to boil water what good is it? Had I known this I would've NEVER bought this unit.
