Customer Questions & Answers

how well does the aqua lift cleaning work?

Asked by: Joey
It doesn't work at all. It barely loosened up some of the burnt on food at the bottom of the oven, but didn't touch the rest of the oven at all. My previous oven from the 80's did a much better job of self-cleaning. I am extremely disapointed as this is not a cheap oven. Other than that, it's great, but self-cleaning is a huge function requirement for me.

I'd like to consider this range to replace our 1989 Jenn Air downdraft range which is in an island. Can I do this?

Asked by: Books88
Books88, I am listing the dimensions below for you to review to see if this appliance would fit in your space. One of the biggest differences that you might notice is that this Whirlpool Slide In range does not offer a downdraft that you stated your JennAir model has. This means that there is not any venting in this model. Thank you for viewing this Whirlpool home appliance. Customer Reviews

6.2 cu. ft. Slide-In Electric Range with Self-Cleaning Convection Oven in Black is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 391.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good, cooks fast Delivered and installed on Christmas Eve 2016. Had to try the oven so the kids baked some cookies. Cookies came out even no rotation of cookis sheet like my old stove. Electronic control works great but wonder about its longevity (I like manual controls) this is my first electronic controlled stove. So far I love it. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not built to last at all I am very upset that within a few months of owning this stove, it has thrown the same error code, F8E0 throughout our use of it. As soon as the preheated oven gets to 180 degrees, it shuts off. As of now, no amount of resetting or turning the breaker off and waiting will do any good. When we press any oven function, the error code immediately displays on the screen. I am so upset. I thought this would be a solid buy and would be able to have this for a while in my new home. If this is how it functions in LESS THAN A YEAR, I can only imagine how many problems I will have years, or months, rather down the road. Whirlpool should be ashamed. I would really like to have a replacement model that does not have this problem. It is absurd that I am AFRAID to use my oven to cook a big meal for fear that it will shut off. And right now, it has permanently shut off!! Please send a replacement model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY! UNSAFE!!! I wish I could give this oven less than one star. I have had this oven approximately 19 months, I have had not been able to use it for about 3 weeks. The upper fan went bad twice in the first 3 months. then we couldn't get it calibrated correctly. Then another time a wire inside came loose for no apparent reason. Now the final time the oven goes past set temp. I had it set at 350 degrees, the over was well over 650 degrees and it started to melt a silicone oven mitt. I am now waiting for the part to come in. This is the worst oven I have ever used in my life. I went with whirlpool because of their reputation. Its sad to say that I may never purchase from them again. Whirlpool please feel free to contact me if you would like more information. Thanks, Mike

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Reviews are best from owners that have owned this long enough to see if it works or not Sure, it looks good and seems to be nice when it isn't broken. Mine is less than a year old, a big holiday is approaching and the cooling fan is broken and the part is back ordered for a month, so no Thanksgiving dinner or holiday cooking from my new range! Seriously, I bought all new appliances less than a year ago and so far the whirlpool microwave has had repairs done three times and they basically told me to not use the under cabinet light much at all. As for the range, it heats up food slow ,the burners seem to cycle off and on, don't know why , the oven preheats very slow, the cleaning system is a joke and now that it is broken I regret this purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a good! After a year lots i stared having problems with it and also the protection plan from Home Depot don't help you with replacement i been waiting almost five months to have it repaired and nothing and the company that they assigned is the worse ever, this doesn't deserve not even one star at all. This was my first time buying appliances from Home Depot and I'm so disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice looking slide in with one complaint. This is a very nice looking range. The cooktop is great and easy to clean, and the oven is ridiculously large. It did smell up the house when we first ran it which is to be expected. So if you are buying it for a big dinner, you definitely want to break it in beforehand when you can leave the windows open and exit the kitchen. We ran it with no food at 400F for a few hours and it was fine the next day. My only complaint is the faux stainless plastic surround that wraps around the controls and the glossy gray plastic below it. The finish can get rubbed off the faux stainless as it's just plastic and the gray plastic cheapens the look of the range, not to mention makes it less durable. For the price, it should be stainless steel.
