How does the Aqualift cleaning function work?

Asked by: Dip
Please don't buy this thinking is self cleaning. This aqua clean literally does nothing but Mahe a mess of water you have to clean along with the spillage. I'm returning mine. It says self cleaning. It's not even close.

How quickly do the burners get to temperature. Also how long does it take to preheat?

Asked by: Tasha
I have this electric stove and the burners heat almost immediately and reach the desired temperature in no time. The burners give off a strong and immediate heat that burns steady when the desired temperature is reached. I had both gas and electric stoves in the past yet never had a stovetop that heated to the desired temperature as quickly and burned continously at the desired level as this stovetop does. It took a little practice to get used to the stovetop because of how quickly it reaches and continues to burn at the desired temperature. When we turned the stovetop on the first time, we actually said, "Wow!". Convection ovens preheat in less than half the time or there's almost no preheat time to reach even higher temperatures. They cook faster too.. I have a small convection oven that is used often so I was used to how quickly a convection oven heats and cooks. lf you're replacing an older model with this stove then you will be surprised how fast the stovetop and oven heat up and will need a little practice to get used to them.

how to operate the self cleaning oven on a whirlpool stove

how to operate the self cleaning oven on a whirlpool stove
Asked by: whirlpool
If the range is a Whirlpool with AquaLift Self Cleaning System, this feature does not work. There are several class action lawsuits claiming false advertisement against Whirlpool. I have a range with this feature and it is totally useless. I have to manually clean the oven Do a Google search and you can read all about it.

Do not listen to the reviews that say they will. There is a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool for false advertising. I wish I never would have bought this oven. I roasted one chicken on the convection setting, put the oven through two Aquaclean cycles and it looks as if it was never cleaned. Don't do it, don't buy it. You will be scrubbing this thing clean with your bare hands until it dies. What is so infuriating is that you are warned NOT to use oven cleaner or harsh chemicals. The broiler pan I cooked my chicken in was a breeze to clean. The only thing that will get the dirt of now is dynamite.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Self cleaning is useless We bought this stove over a week ago. We have been very happy with it until we saw the splatter mess after one week of cooking. The so called self cleaning feature is useless. We ran it twice and still couldn't get small splatter marks off. This is extremely disappointing and has tainted the joy of the new oven. Ended up using easy off to get the stubborn spots off. We would have preferred a high heat self cleaning to the so called low heat steam. It doesn't work. If you are considering this oven for the described auqaclean rethink your choice. Everything else works and looks great but what is the point if the inside looks soiled and worn after one week. I would have given this oven 5 stars but the lack of cleaning is really a nightmare.

The range itself is OK, but if you use the oven on this Range, you will eventually need to clean it. The The AquaLift Technology is suppose to make this chore a breeze, according to Whirlpool. The only problem is that this new fangled "Aqualift" technology will do little to clean your oven. I clean my oven regularly, so there is very little residue. I also try to clean immediately after spills or splatters to keep the residue from being repeatedly baked into the oven walls. At best, the Aqualift cleaning technology softens a little residue on the very bottom on the oven, but does nothing for small splatters on the sides and top of the oven, and that's after at least 3 cycles of 40 minutes each.. I guess Whirlpool thinks a "self" cleaning oven means clean it your "self".

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed I was excited to try this Whirlpool range. Even after checking the manufacturers measurements before purchase, they were not correct so the range was wider than the space we had. We had to make adjustments for it to fit. Also, the ceramic cook top scratches easily even with me being careful. Live and learn. Lastly, the storage drawer at the bottom is so small that I can only fit one or two flat skillets. Live and learn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I went from a standard oven to a convection oven and everything I bake is evenly cooked. I like the amount of space which made cooking a Thanksgiving dinner that much better because everything could fit. The burners are also great allowing me to cook most everything closest to me with two large burners in front and two small in back. Now my parents are purchasing this same oven. Highly recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stove top is horrible! I replaced a 20 y/o GE smooth top with this range. I am so disappointed. The top is horrible. Scratches easily. Using the recommended type of cookware, it leaves stains on top you can't get out. It's beautiful, but cheaply made. Don't buy it. :(

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Self cleaning ha Whirlpool really needs to quit advertising self cleaning. This aqua lift system does not clean the oven. The bottom is clean but nothing comes off the sides of the oven. Very disappointed in the cleaning operation of this oven.

Stainless steel collects finger prints. Oven only takes about 10 minutes to heat up to 450 degrees. Uses about half the electricity as my old electric range.
