Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy this range! Don't buy this range! There are so many ways I despise this appliance! The oven takes a long time to heat up and is not well insulated so the cook top gets very hot. The timer beeps ONCE! and is very quiet despite being set at the loudest setting! I have been in the kitchen and missed the timer going off!! And setting the timer requires too many steps! you have to turn on the timer, set the timer and start the timer! I went in to purchase a maytag Gemini to replace the one I had but the Home Depot employee discouraged me and advised I get an oven to match the handles on the refrigerator I purchased..........wish I had never listened to her May 19, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just OK One big con is the "Hot Surface Indicator". There is only 1 indicator located on the control panel for all burners. So you would not know which burner is actually hot unless you put your hand over each one to find out which is hot. Other stoves I've seen has an indicator per burner, located right beside the burner, making it easy to identify which burner is on and/or hot. Our previous stove used a heating coil and seemed to heat up faster than the burners on this stove. Oven seems to work well. Turning on the oven to bake and the messages in the control panel are a bit confusing. It's just something we need to learn and get used to. January 6, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I HATE THIS STOVE! I hate everything about this stove. The ovens do not get hot unless they are on 500. The timer and clock you have to push minute by minute. Only one timer for 2 ovens. The oven light comes on for both ovens not separately. It takes forever on the big burner to boil water for like spaghetti or whatever. I hate it , hate it, hate it. Liked my Maytag way better. September 19, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Oven Ever This is THE worst cooking appliance I have ever used and I have been cooking over 30 years. The ovens do not cook properly, the bottom oven is loud and the large burner takes forever to boil water. I have had a technician come out the ovens read the "correct" temperature but not one single recipe is done in the stated time. I have to raise the temps 25-50 degrees so that cuts out a lot of baked items. The tech said I might need special bakeware! Everything is annoying about the range. The oven light comes on BOTH ovens even if you are using one, the timer and clock you have to stand there and hold the button and go minute by minute instead of keying in the time. ALSO there is one timer for two ovens! HATE this stove! $2000 piece of junk. As soon as this is paid off I am selling a getting a new range as much as I hate to lose that much money. Don't buy it! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I love my new stove for a lot of reasons. Maybe it's because my previous oven died a slow, painful death, but I've really enjoyed getting to know this one. I've had it for about two months now and on the whole, I feel pretty good about the purchase and the amount of research I did beforehand. Things I've noticed: the bottom oven is a convection oven, my first go with one, and it's taken some adjustment. Because of the premise in a convection oven where the air is circulated around by a fan, it's a little loud. After some research and tinkering, I've found that if I lower the temperature about 25 degrees from a given recipe, whatever I'm cooking (from baked treats to dinner casseroles, breads -- I've tried almost everything at this point) takes about the minimum time listed on the recipe. The bonus, though, is I can use both racks to bake. I make cookies in half the time because I can bake two sheets at a time, with pretty even results. I also overfilled a bread pan with banana bread the first time I baked, unused to baked goods that turn out fluffy after a year of a malfunctioning oven, so I can say the steam clean feature works as it says. It was the easiest oven clean I've ever done, despite the fact my bread exploded all over the place. I've used both the ovens at the same time and they both heat perfectly and stay even temperatures. The preheat doesn't take any longer than any other oven I've ever used on either unit. As far as the stovetop goes, the burners heat quickly and evenly to the point I've had to remember to turn them lower than I previously had. The markings around the knobs are subtle, though, so the first few times I did something specific (melting butter was my task), I had to really pay attention to the settings on a burner labeled 'melt' to make sure I got the heat where I wanted it. Issues with heating were MY mistake, not the fault of the oven. Now that I've fully tested out the rapid boil, the dual burner, the keep warm, and the melt features -- I love them all and can estimate where to turn the knob without thinking about it. Things I don't care for, but aren't major sticking points: -The clock light is blue. Like REALLY blue. The microwave I have above it is not. This drives me crazy every time I look at it. The clock settings allow for a 24 hour clock on the stove as well, while my microwave doesn't. This is a minor issue, though, and just means I'll pay attention when I replace my microwave. -The inside oven light, as stated, covers both ovens. No matter where you're looking, both are lit up. I would just compensate by opening the door to look at what I want to see, but that messes with a convection oven. -There is only one hot surface indicator light. I generally don't advise my kids to stand anywhere near a stove I've been using, regardless of what burner has been on, though. While it would be NICE if it indicated which burner had been on, we usually know and the fact that it does tell us part of the surface is hot is sufficient. - No storage drawer. This is the tradeoff for a double oven, though -Don't use zeroes on the timer. I suggested I was baking my first sheet of cookies for eight hours because of this. Easy enough to avoid. The timer and control settings for the ovens are easy to use if you simply pay attention to what you're doing. If someone suggests there are too many keystrokes or it's hard to figure out, it's because they aren't used to something with a whole lot of options. I think it's as straight forward as can be. Now that I'm done talking about the actual stove, let me just talk for a minute about the delivery and setup professionals who came to my house. The delivery and installation process, for two major appliances now, are not experiences I will repeat. However, Home Depot's scheduling process is a hassle at best and a study in poor customer service. They rescheduled my delivery -- without successfully notifying me. The date they set wasn't one that worked (hence my not picking it in the first place) and navigating their appliance delivery side to reschedule was a frustrating exercise in time wasting. When they finally did have my stove here, the two men were personable and seemed helpful. They were careful removing my old unit and bringing the new in, they had the supplies they needed to do the job, but they were not particularly concerned with details. By details, I mean they didn't use a level to adjust the height of my stove and left it crooked. They also failed to take five minutes (literally all it took my husband) to properly align the anti-tip bracket. As a result, the unit was sitting approximately six INCHES out from the wall behind it. When I pointed it out, they said there was nothing they could do. I suppose it was my mistake when I assumed that was correct -- it was more accurately something they didn't want to take time to do properly. In the end, it took very little effort, but that's not the point. It isn't effort my husband should've had to make since I paid Home Depot to install. None of this is reflected in my ratings because none of this is the stove's fault. It was just a frustrating experience I'd like to pass on to anyone considering a large appliance purchase from Home Depot. June 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convection Double Oven Range Very happy with both the range and the price. Was unsure how often I would use the double oven; but have found it to be convenient. We enjoy the even baking with the convection oven for biscuits & other breads. August 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dream of a stove We bought this a month ago due to a fire in my old stove, which started while time baking. We went out that night, and purchased this awesome appliance. It does not heat the house while in use--unlike my old one. Everything turns out perfect in both convection and regular oven. Fast boil feature makes my tea a breeze. Love it! July 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Range Oven Bought this model for the twin oven setup. Preheat is very fast and it cooks evenly. The cooktop will boil water in just under a minute and a half. All in all this is the best freestanding range I have ever owned! July 23, 2015
