I'm replacing my dishwasher. My current dishwasher has no electrical plug that I can see so it must be hard-wired. I also don't have a wall outlet that I can see. Will this unit work or do I need to buy a new dishwasher that is designed to be hardwired?

About wheels under dishwashers or levelers

This question is from Front Control Dishwasher in Universal Silver

May 28, 2016
Does anyone know if a dishwasher supported on wheels is much ieasier and safer to remove from underneath granite top than dishwasher resting on leveler legs? Could a piece of thin plywood be put under granite so dishwasher when installed didn't hit granite at all? How would such a piece of plywood be attached under granite?

Answer:
The wheels simply help in "rolling" the dishwasher back into the opening. There is a side mount kit specifically designed so the dishwasher can be secured to the cabinets where there is granite and other hard counter surfaces that can't be drilled into. The side mounting kit #8212560

Front Control Dishwasher in White is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 2704.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for We have had our dishwasher for two years. The first year it did well. I had read many reviews and felt like for the money we were getting a good machine. We did not buy the extended warranty and about 6 months ago, the dishes were no longer getting clean. I made sure I used vinegar to clean hard water, cleaned out the filters, switched dw detergents that help with hard water. You name it. Just had a man look at it - the control panel is malfunctioning, the heater coil doesn't work and something else not worth repairing is wrong with it. They certainly don't make quality appliances like they used to. Going out shopping again today for a new machine. Bummer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok dishwasher We like the quiet operation. We bought the dishwasher about 2 weeks ago to replace our Maytag dishwasher that worked great for 10+ years. We decided to try a Whirlpool dishwasher for the first time because of the price and reviews. We're rating this dishwasher 3 stars because it leaves water spots on the dishes and doesn't dry the dishes well. We don't use a rinse aid but it should not be necessary. We never had to use a rinse aid with our old Maytag dishwasher. With the Whirlpool dishwasher, we hand dry the dishes and wipe off the water spots before storing. We expected better performance. I agree with the reviews I read that were 4 & 5 stars. They helped me in my choice for a good dishwasher and American made. It cleans extremely well, quiet and drys fast. The 1 hour cycle is perfect regular plus loads. I had a low end GE before that basically did not perform up to basic standards. This was in a great price range and does the job and gets it done. The interior is nice and the tub is tall and has two water sprayers, top and bottom. A might-t-fine product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a champ Cleans dishes squeaky clean. Only downside is with my old dishwasher I could fit soup bowls etc better. This is more for flat plates. It takes some effort to fit all the dishes properly. So quiet and runs smooth. Hookup took a while and you may have to make trips to the hardware store for some connections that don't fit. The ones provided didn't fit b/c of some pipework done years before. Otherwise, I am very happy with this dishwasher.

It is louder than our other dishwasher, (ge profile) . I agree with everyone re: the drying of the dishes. I don't like the plastic tub and every load we have to clean the bottom of the tub as it's FILTHY and I have to ask wife if dishes are clean or dirty. Why would the bottom of the dishwasher be filthy after u wash a load? Dishes do get clean but you would think the rinse cycle would clean the bottom? Been in the house 4 mo and already looking to replace this dishwasher. Very loud, and don't like the limited number of cycles available.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Washes the dishes It washes fine. However.... The heat dry doesn't dry. I had read reviews about this but assumed since it was a Whirlpool brand that it wasn't as bad as the reviews said. I think it pauses so much while washing that the water cools down and with new government regulations the heating element is downgraded. It isn't just pooling in the normal lower spots on glasses and plastic wear, the whole inside of the dishwasher is wet. Oh and the utensil basket is way too big and the holes in it are so big some of my knives and handles go through. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Some dishes will need to be re washed! I have had this dishwasher over 6 months now. I have learned not to put in dishes with food stuck to them. No pots and pans or bakeware. I can't put dishes in the bottom corner, the spray doesn't reach there from the spray arm. I have to rewash several items each load (I am not talking about soap film). Sometimes it's just debris that lands on the dish and then is not rinsed off. I almost have to wash the dishes before the dishwasher washes them! I had a repair person out and he said there is nothing wrong with the dishwasher or the water temp or the way the dishwasher is loaded. How can this be energy efficient when I have to basically wash them before and after? Please try another model because you will not be happy with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wife is very happy! Cleans as well as 10 yr old Maytag that she loved! Was 1/2 the price we expected. Had seen comments that it was noisy, did not clean well, & did not dry dishes. None of these proved out for us. Even our old Maytag left water on top of cups/glasses/plastic & needed to quickly/easily dried with towel! We found, it was very quiet, cleaned very well, even on 1 hr. cycle ( she tested with dried on egg yolk.) At half the energy cost. Could not be happier. Made in America was important to us!
