We did extensive research of this and other comparable refrigerators and found that this one fit our needs exactly. The shelves on the doors of the freezer and refrigerator are deep and provide very usable storage space. The meat bins with temperature control as well as the humidity controls for the fruits and vegetables are very useful. Overall we are extremely pleases with this product.

This Frig has driven me crazy! The person who designed it has never used a Refrigerator. The Ice Maker is a Joke. Has a "Fast Ice" feature that makes no difference in the SLOW rate it makes Ice. From first start up to half full took 24 hours and "full" is less than a 5 lbs. bag of ice. The Ice dispenser clogs easily and the ice freezes together in the bin and then will not come out at all. The shelves are fixed. Not adjustable at all. The Top shelf is a good height for large container, but the put the light assembly right in front of it. if you are careful, you can slip a gallon of milk under it and onto the shelf. Almost all other Quart size bottles need to be tipped to get under the light and onto the shelf. Freezer shelves are also fixed. There is one pull out bin on the bottom which is about the right size, but it could use another shelf if they were adjustable. It is NOT quiet when running! Look for a better unit, even if it costs more. I have cursed this one now for over a year and pray that it will fail prior to the end of the extended warranty I bought!

This is the 2nd White Ice Counter Depth refrigerator I have purchased from HD in the past 2 years and I would never recommend this refrigerator to anyone! The first one has had many issues, beginning with the ice maker. It freezes constantly and we have to pour hot water on the coils to un-freeze it. The controls are confusing and many of our guests cannot figure it out and end up turning off the ice maker (this is not the reason why the coils are freezing) I did not want to purchase a 2nd one but there are very few white counter depth refrigerators and the one I wanted was on back order for months so I reluctantly purchased another one. We use these in rental vacation units where space is limited so we really needed the counter depth. HERE IS THE WORST PART. I had the 2nd refrigerator delivered a few days before we arrived to finish the renovation and, when we got there, the ice make did not work. Because it has was over the 48 hour mark since delivery, it could not be replaced and I was forced to work with Whirlpool customer service under the warranty. Remember, the ice NEVER worked. A technician was called to inspect it and he indicated the door was damaged and it needed to be replaced. So, rather than send me a new refrigerator that would have taken a few weeks at most, they told me the door had to be built upon order and it would take 6 weeks. 12 weeks later, no door. I called customer service and they told it could take up to 12 weeks but it should not be too much longer. I have made several calls to the service company who will receive the door and they state they are "just the middle man" and have no control over when they will receive it. IT HAS NOW BEEN 19 WEEKS and still NO DOOR! I have never in my life written a review for any product but I feel it is my duty to warn people about this refrigerator. DO NOT BUY IT! I have purchased 2 and have had many issues with both refrigerators so this is not limited to one issue. Trust me, save yourself the headache and buy another brand. I asked Whirlpool's customer service if there was anyone I could speak with who had more authority to make things happen and I was told I had to write a letter. Really??? NO email address? No one with any authority to speak with? I called Home Depot, where I purchased the refrigerator from, and they have no authority either but you can bet I am going to keep complaining up the chain to Home Depot. Perhaps they will think twice about doing business with Whirlpool. I doubt my complaints will have any affect but I will keep trying until I get results. Seriously, do not buy this. If you have any issues at all, Whirlpool is terrible to work with! There is ZERO accountability!!

I’ve had my new white ice counter-depth, side-by-side refrigerator for 3 weeks now. It replaced my 10 year old side by side which served me well but it was time for an upgrade. I was really drawn to the white ice line and liked the contemporary and sleek look. Tired of all white appliances but never a fan of stainless steel, this was the perfect compromise. I would have considered the bottom freezer model but sadly, it isn’t offered in counter-depth
For a counter-depth, side by side, this refrigerator offers significantly more space than my older version. There is lots of room for taller items and both refrigerator and freezer offer more than enough space for our 2 person household.
I had been warned that Whirlpool vegetable drawers were not sturdy and that when you pulled them open they would fall off the track from even the slightest weight. I was pleasantly surprised that this is not the case here so apparently Whirlpool has fixed that flaw. However, the drawer tracks are plastic so the drawers open roughly.
I like the control panel features and blue digital display. It takes a little getting used to the functions but they are actually pretty easy to use. The measured pour is a feature I’ve come to really like. One thing that could be improved is the touchpad responsiveness. You have to push the button in just the right spot for it to respond. There is no wiggle room.
The ice through the door works well but it’s loud and the first time I tried it I thought the refrigerator was going to take off.
Also note that no egg or butter tray comes with this refrigerator so be sure to keep your old one.
Overall, I am happy with this refrigerator so far. I would have looked at other manufacturers if they had a similar white with silver trim product but Whirlpool is the only one. I like the look so much I just purchased the white ice microwave and am planning on getting their dishwasher next.

Just got this and the ice maker doesn't work! Made 6 cubes so far, went back to HD and they were very helpful to resolve the issue. We went ahead and got the Samsung Counter Depth (something we should have done in the first place).

I bought this refrigerator to replace a counter-depth freezer-on-top Maytag unit which was over 20 years old and showing its age. I've had the new one for six months, and I've not had any problems with it. The brushed stainless accents look great against the White Ice finish. I took one star off because on the right top side edge, a small amount of paint had been rubbed off by the styrofoam packing during shipping - it wasn't Home Depot's fault and it was easily fixed with touch-up, but nonetheless it should not have happened. Other than that, it's a very good unit and I'm quite happy with it.

Only installed 1 month plus so far. All is well now...we'll see as time goes by, but I feel it will prove to be durable enough. Delivered with a veg. drawer problem. Wheels on drawer not assembled correctly. Service call solved that problem quickly and service rep. was very knowledgeable and helpful with operational instructions. Happy now, nice refrigerator. Wife is happy so I'm also happy!
