Boil water in half the time, even while watching the pot! The induction technology in this cooktop transfers energy directly into any magnetic cookware, for faster, more energy-efficient cooking, making this the most efficient Whirlpool brand cooktop ever. Because the cooking surface cools down fast, spills do not bake onto it. This efficient 30 in. electric induction cooktop also uses less energy than traditional ceramic glass cooktops and traditional gas cooktops. Automatic pan detection even senses when your cookware is on the cooktop. So you get superior results in a fraction of the time, every time.

California residents: see  Proposition 65 information

  • Induction cooktop features two 6 in. 1400-watt, one 8 in. 2300-watt and one 9 in. 3200/2300-watt induction elements which heat cookware directly, so food cooks more quickly and spills do not bake on to the cooktop
  • Tap touch controls provide a sleek, sophisticated look that is easy to clean and can be set with a simple touch
  • The Induction Boost option boosts the power of the 9 in. element from 2500-Watts to 3200-watts with the push of a button
  • Durable eco-friendly Schott Ceran cooktop is manufactured without the release of hazardous metals into the ground and withstands intense heat without cracking or chipping
  • Control lockout option helps prevent unintended cooktop operation. Automatic pan detection senses when cookware is on the cooktop
  • Power on lights let you know if a cooking element is on
  • Digital display features a timer, so it is easy to count down the minutes until dinner is ready
  • Limited 1-year warranty
  • Meets applicable ADA requirements, with upfront controls that do not require you to reach across hot burners
  • Product available for home delivery only. Installation is not offered at time of delivery; check with your local The Home Depot store for installation options

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I LOVE Induction Cooking! I bought and installed my new Whirlpool induction cooktop April 1, 2015. I decided to start with a simple meal, cheeseburgers and fries. I unpacked and washed my new induction-ready cookware and got started. Being new to induction cooking, I fried the patties on 4 (too low in retrospect, which is a good thing), then put the peanut oil in the pan for the fries, set the cooktop at 9 with power boost. In about 30 seconds I dropped a small piece of potato in the oil and what do you know? It was already at frying temperature! In less than seven minutes I had crisp, golden French Fries! My caution with the patties caused them to take a bit longer, but the meal was great, and much time and energy was saved thanks to my new induction cooktop. I am a believer! May 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor, still needs replaced I bought this 2 years ago and the first time I used boost it threw the breakers and never worked again. So, whirlpool replaced it. Itworked until I used the boost again 5 months later, it threw all the breakers in my home, and have never worked again. I've been 6 months without a cooktop. I WENT TO THE STORE THAT SOLD IT TO ME, THEY SAID CALL WHIRPOOL. May 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it Easiest cooktop ever to keep clean and shiny. Have had it about 6 months and absolutely love it. May 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT BUY THIS COOKTOP! Installed in September 2013. January 2014, turn it on & nothing happens. Fortunately it's still under mfg. warranty, so we haven't had to pay for the 3x the repair people have been here so far. First time, they ordered new insides. Second time, they installed them & got an error message on 3 burners. The one without the error code didn't work of course. Say they have to order more parts. Back today, still not fixed. Have been cooktopless for about a month now. Thank God for wood stoves... February 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exquisite This cooktop looks absolutely exquisite and stunning with my granite counter tops. Its quality and functionality is perfect! I could not be more pleased with this appliance and its performance. I love, love, love it! I am so happy I chose this Whirlpool product. March 5, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor product After one week the product stopped working. Took three weeks to repair. Only worked one day before the main board went again. Now I have to wait another two weeks to get it repaired yet again. February 19, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Happy with our Whirlpool Gold 30" Electric Indiction Cooktop We are overall pretty happy with our induction cooktop. We like the even heating and ability to control the temperature. Some issues with induction cookware working on front burners and not the back not sure if that is cooktop or cookware. Super easy to clean since nothing burns on cooking surface. Wish the finish wasnt so shiny. Shows every finger print. Controls in front is a nice feature but I have found its easy to lean over and turn them off by accident. Compared to the regular glass cooktop we replaced I would buy induction again. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT BUY. Broke after 18 months. Do not waste your money on this coooktop. Whirlpool customer service is impossible, they transfer you around from person to person, spend over 3 hours on the phone. We had it 18 months and 1 day we were cooking and heard this popping noise and it quit. 2 repair appointments to learn the cost to repair is more than we paid for the unit to begin with.
