Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mike 6 months with very limited use
Installed this in a garage. After 6 months of VERY limited use, the light failed. Had to use a ladder to change it and lost my balance. Landed on my should which resulted in me having to under go rotator cuff surgery. Out of pocket cost after ins was $1,763. Could not get help from Home Depot on line rep for replacement. She gave me the number of the manufacturer customer service rep. Left several messages and they NEVER even responded. Will never use this product again as they failed to honor their guarantee. Also disappointed in Home Depot rep for passing me on to the manufacture and having to deal with it myself.

Will provide this product performance after an apartment renovation in the summer of 2015.
It is worthwhile to mention, that I am a big fan of identically designed items.
Between 2005 thru 2011 I have installed these types of the recessed lights in all newly renovated apartments in my building. Not only it was easy to assemble and install, but the apartment rooms
transformed into much nicer, modernly stylish, full of air, lights and versatile functionality areas.
During the renovated apartments viewings, all potential apt. tenants make the point of complementing the nice design of the recessed lighting fixtures.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mikeng Buzzing sound and non-industry standards LED connections
This product definitely has a buzzing sound. First LED I have bought with a buzzing sound, very disappointed.
I have the Halo 4" cannister with the LED only connectors. Normally if you buy other LED brand, it has a two prongs connection only made for LED. I have retrofitted over 30 6" led throughout my house where the can and LED retrofit light have matching prongs. The Whirlpool led prongs DOESN'T MATCH the led connection for the can housings.
This Whirlpool 4" Led has a custom LED connections that attaches to a socket. However, Whirlpool for whatever reason decided to make a different two-prong connection than the one the Halo housing cans use. Essentially, forcing you to use the socket adapter when you have a can with led connections.
Poor engineering (buzzing), combined with pool non-industry standard connections = FAILED.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by FloridaHouse Cheap and not dimmable without a lot of noise
Another example of you get what you pay for. Hired electrician to put these in, and he tried 4 different dimmers. In every case, the lights made a loud humming noise. Fortunately, I just bought these as an experiment for one room. Bought better LED trims for other rooms. No problems.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Eljefe Great Deal for me
After reading all of the reviews on these LED fixtures I decided to take a gamble. After all they were on sale for only $11.99 a piece. I ordered 6 of them. Home Depot proceeded to send me six of the 6 inch fixtures instead of these. When I received them I called Home Depot and they apologized, re-ordered me the correct 4 inch fixtures and gave me an extra 10% discount on top of the sale. Made these 10.60 apiece!!! When I got them I installed them immediately. Installation was basically as easy as changing a light bulb. However when placing these fixtures into the can's I tilted the light fixture and gripped the edge of the fixture and gave it a twist while pushing the clips into the can in then ceiling. This gave the fixture a good tight fit into the can and tight to the ceiling. One of the fixtures gave off a soft buzz when I first turned it on, it went away after a few minutes. Subsequently it has buzzed sometimes when first turning it on, but if you touch it or wait a few minutes the buzz stops. This is a little annoying however we use these lights in our family room with a surround sound entertainment system. With the TV on you can't hear the fixtures, even at low volume so I don't think its a big deal. The lights are very bright and give off a warm pleasant light. as opposed to other led fixtures I've used in the past that turned you bluish and gave off a cool light. The dimming feature really doesn't work very well but again that is a small complaint for us and the plusses of these fixtures far outweighs any negatives. Especially at the price.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by tlmargo Product description is wrong
This is actually a 50-watt equivalent, 400 lumen product, not 65 watt and 625 lumens. It actually looks like a very nice product, but the product description is wrong and I am giving 1 star (would give 0 if that was an option) because of the wrong product description. I wasted time by ordering this product and now I have to order something else.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Buddy Nice looks but buzzes
We bought 2 of these for our 4" recessed lights made by Whirlpool in kitchen but are very unhappy with the buzzing noise with any dimmer switch I tried and in any brightness. Recommend Cree or Osram brand LED lights

Careful, this kit only fits a select few model light cans. You get the comparable model numbers only with the light kit. Should be in ad.
