Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Will not drain Bought this appliance in September 2014. May 2015-the dishwasher will not drain. Called to have it serviced had to wait on hold for over 20 minutes. May 18, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good washer - poor customer service I can't recommend a product that comes with bad customer service. It took me almost 3 months to get Whirlpool / Maytag to send me a missing screw (tiny, tiny screw that is used to secure handle to door) and then, after 2 emails and a few phone calls (where they initially that they would not supply the missing screw due to policy), they sent me the WRONG SCREW. Yay. February 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than I expected I was doing a complete remodel in my kitchen and the budget was getting tight so I was looking for a dishwasher that would fit in with my higher end appliances but not cost so much. This dishwasher looks great installed with the controls not visable and is quieter than any other dishwasher I have ever owned. January 6, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Design needs some work The controls for this dishwasher are on top of the door, and tucked away under the counter when the door is closed. So to push "pause" you have to open the door. You have to press "Start" with the door open, then close it. To see the "Clean" indicator you have to open the door. When this is running there is no indication of how far along it is in the wash cycle. If these controls were facing forward instead of straight up this would be a much more user-friendly design. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT BUY this dishwasher or Whirlpool The dishwasher quit at 11 months. Unfortunately, I started a kitchen remodeling project and put the dishwasher in my garage to deal with later. Now I am putting my kitchen back to order and pulled out the paperwork to find that the dishwasher is now 1 year and 1 month (Out of warranty). My only option is to pay another $250 to have it fixed. 1- I never liked this dishwasher. I felt my old Kenmore did a much better job cleaning dishes. I don't want to add more money to something I don't even like. 2- My Kenmore lasted 18 years. I can't believe I wasted $500 in 1 year. 3- Back to my remodeling - The dishwasher was the first appliance I have replaced. I still plan to replace the stove and fridge (Both Kenmore and working great after 19 years). Whirlpool and HomeDepot have failed me and i will not buy appliances from them again. 4- To add to the insult. The dishwasher was installed by HomeDepot contractors. They chipped my laminate countertop and stood in front of it so that I would not see it until they left. I went to HD and filed a report with a supervisor. I never heard back from anyone. I knew I was eventually remodeling my kitchen so I didn't persue it. June 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great price for this machine looked all over town for a dishwasher for my mother in law for Christmas found a couple but that ranged in the 250 to 300 range but after looking at this one with the options the top rack sprayer and the quality name for the price could not pass it up easy to install however to avoid a trip back make sure you buy the water line hookup about 5 bucks but is not included ( attachment from 14 inch copper to dishwasher) mother in law has loved it so far has very attractive black finish which looks great in her kitchen January 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The perfect gift! I purchased this for Christmas for my parents who are in their late 80's as their Bosch dishwasher had bit the dust. My mother absolutely loves it - says it is better than her Bosch. She's enjoying the top controls as it helps everything look more sleek, and says it is very quiet. She's quite pleased, and believe me, that's not something that easily happens! I had purchased a similar Whirlpool dishwasher the previous year for our new home, and knew that they would get a quality product. January 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by no regrets - great machine We upgraded to this machine from a builder grade that came with our house. We liked this machine as it was a good price point and had features such as sani cycle, hi temp rinse and sensor wash. It also has adjustable shelves and the silver basket is able to be placed in multiple places including on the door. We have had it about three months now and yesterday I decided to give it the ultimate test. I put a casserole dish with baked on rice and residue to wash with very little rinsing before. I set the cycle to heavy. It cleaned it. I don't mean cleaned it all but a few places - it was spotless. The only complaint about this machine that I have and it is a small one is that plastics such as Tupperware and take alongs do not dry well. That is it. It is a VERY quiet dishwasher and I am glad that we have it. A couple of hints I have learned from using it: 1. rinse aid IS important - use it as your dishes dry better in the heated dry cycle 2. if you interrupt the cycle and open the door once it is running you have to push start again it will not automatically begin again April 10, 2015
