The owner's of my apartment complex purchased these washer's for our building. They are the worst washers ever. Just as other reviewers have mentioned, this washer does NOT clean your clothes. This washer requires you to add detergent & your clothes even before water is dispensed. Water is not dispensed until the door is closed, which then automatically locks, prohibiting you from opening again until the wash has completely finished. Due to the water efficiency of the washer, it dispenses just enough to cover clothes. Which in my opinion is not enough. Clothes barely even felt wet after removing and it left dirt deposits on them after every wash. So much so that they required a second washing.

Bottom line is it doesn't wash the clothes. Lid locks after starting so downey can't be added. Tenants won't use it. Buy Heubsch or Speed Queen

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by owner DON'T BUY THIS WASHER; PIECE OF JUNK
This Whirlpool "commercial grade" washing machine is a piece of junk. I bought it 4 months ago and it has blown its control unit twice. I have probably wasted 15 hours of my time on the phone and meeting with Whirlpool techs to replace the control panel two times, so far. They totally refuse to replace the washing machine or to refund my money. Each time it breaks it takes 2 weeks and several appointments to get the part and to get it installed. Meanwhile my tenants are very unhappy about being unable to wash their clothes. All of this is very stressful. You will spend hours on the phone trying to get to the right department in Whirlpool. If you buy this, be prepared to have a backup unit available while this is broken. When the 1 year warranty runs out this unit will probably be heading to the landfill. The control panel unit costs approximately $300 to replace when it blows. It is the brains of the unit. The last one lasted 13 days. Also read the reviews about how it cleans clothes. And read the review about the lid lock which is also a bad feature. I would like to replace it with a Speed Queen unit which I think may be a lot better product for not much more money.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by FrustratedinTX Bad investment. World's Biggest Paperweights.
Buyer Beware. These washers are horrible. They don't fill with enough water to get all the laundry wet, let alone allow them to agitate. Our guests have told us they won't even use them anymore. So I've not only wasted the $$ invested, I'm losing $$ each day they're not used. We've had service techs out here 5 times since October 2013 and each time they "recalibrate" the control board. We keep getting told "that's just the way they're designed." We've complained to Whirlpool and are trying to get them replaced.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Femoreno it stopped funtioning like after the third use, terrible machine
I purchased this washer machine because it was the only one most of the stores had as a commercial one and Home Depot has the lowest price, but I learned that Id rather pay 500.00 extra dollars for something that will last than paying almost a thousand for something that will be a pain in the butts. It spill water out of the tank when washing the clothes even after leveled with ground. Seemed good but trust me it is a really bad machine, unless u just got to wash 3 or 4 items per washer this machine is not recommended for normal or heavy loads.

I had this washer almost a year now, and had to have it repaired three times. Waiting on repairman to repair it means it has not been used for a total of about a month and a half of the time I've owned it. Now yet again its broke, called today (6-24-14) for a repairman, my appointment is set for July 4th. I question with the holiday if they will show up or call and move it to another day like the repairman before. So very unhappy with this product.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rhett Be prepared for lots of repairs!
I purchased this unit (without the coin op) in September 2013 for a rental unit. I assumed that because it was a commercial washer it would stand up to more use/abuse. It was broken by the end of November. The "mother board" had stopped working. The service technician was instructed to "reset" the board, which worked for a week. Finally, when they ordered the part Whirlpool stated it was on back order- 2 weeks. The unit was finally operational just before Christmas. The unit broke again in April or May. The same scenario played out. Wait 3 to 4 days for service, reset the board, broken again several days later, wait for new part. It broke again in September 2014. The new service technician recommended I purchase the extended warranty because the he believed the part was sub-standard quality and was very expensive-- he had replaced several in the last year! It is now the end of May 2015 and it broke again with the exact same symptoms as before. The scheduled service date is 1 week out, the part is currently on back order (I can only assume because everyone else that owns this washer needs the same part). Whirlpool is claiming only 90 days on parts so I am still suck with the labor costs and apologizing profusely to my tenant!
