This has happened multiple times. The first time it happened the dryer stopped working before cycle completed. Checked circuit breakers and power connections. Had to manually reset the coin op timer switch for dryer to work again. Each time this happens I have to manually reset the timer switch. Seems to be happening more and more frequently. Dryer only 7 mos old.

I had to exact same thing happen to my dryer as well. Seems this model has a faulty timer switch part. Mine timer switch had to be replaced 3 times in the first year of ownership. Whirlpool should make an effort to fix this problem or do a factory recall.

It came slotted for $1.00. I called and ordered 2 functional inserts for $2.00 (they were free). I also changed the time it would run to 45 minutes.

leetrap,
This dryer is designed to work with the coin op option. If you do not want a coin op dryer, but still want commercial duty, then take a look at model: CEM2793BQ. This is the same dryer but without the coin op feature. Thank you for viewing this Whirlpool home appliance.

The delivery guys installed it but couldn't solve this problem. Push start button without putting any coin and it starts which mean anyone can use this dryer for free.

Few months ago, I purchased few of these dryers for several apartment buildings, few are working so, so. the last two have a common trouble, many times the Coin Slide Unit takes the money and doe's not send the signal to the machine to dry. This is becoming worse and worse, Many buyers of this product are facing the same trouble, "it is time for Home Depot as a supplier for Whirlpool" to place pressure with the manufacturer to correct this "Common trouble" at their cost. They have a failure switch that need to be replace very frequently, that is not right. Whirlpool correct your problem, I will change my 1 star to 5

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Commercial Dryer Machines just aren't made like they used to be. Dryer is commercial coin-op machine. It is on the flimsy side vs firmly constructed due to the cheaper metal used to make it. The paint job seems weak and I hope it holds up to the multiple use it will receive. Just because we've experienced this cheaper paint quality in the past, we are putting a heavy plastic film on the top so it doesn't receive scratches and rust so soon. We have coin-op machines from 20 years ago that look better than some of the machines we just purchased a year ago - that's quality. Other than the flimsy metal and quality of paint, the machine serves the purpose in the apartment complex.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware I purchased two sets of the commercial Whirlpool washers and dryers in April 2014. By May 2014 one dryer was not working. Sounds like an easy fix with the manufactures warranty? Wrong!!!!! Whirlpool has horrible customer service. I will never buy their products ever again. It's almost June and my dryer is still not fixed. I cannot tell you the amount of phone calls and emails I have made attempting to get Whirlpool to answer questions and provide information. The way they treat people and the quality of their products will force them out of business. It is just a matter of time!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Coin slot defective Could be a decent machine, but here are the problems with my experience: 1. Installers didn't know how to change price, I had to figure out on my own following terrible instructions and it is not intuitive at all. 2. The coin slot mechanism does not work properly. You can slide it in and start the machine without putting any quarters in it...defeats the purpose of a coin op. 3. Once I did figure out how to change the price, it did not come with the right parts to do so, it only had enough additional inserts to increase the price to a max 1.50 when there are enough quarter slots to increase it to 2.00. 4. I didn't notice at delivery but the machine has a large dent on the side. I called Home Depot because I did get the protection plan, but they just referred me to whirlpool who of course is only open M-F. Guess I'm on my own to try and fix the defective machine I was sold!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from total garbage Whirlpool make a totally garbage products. I owned multiple hotels. And we had whirlpool almost all hotels for Guest laundry. But i bought 2 recently and both broke in a month, tech's 3 visit could not fixed it. They are not even coming on time. Now they dont want to replace it or refund. Totally garbage machines. Funny thing was, tech was asking us to pay. i mean its brand new machine and 1 month old. and whirlpool customer service is superbly awful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product NEVER WORKED, even after 4 service calls. Upon delivery, the dryer did nothing. Warranty service came out, ordered parts, then the motor turned the drum, but NO HEAT. The 4th time a repairman came, he said that it needed another part replaced, so I told him that I was returning the dryer, as it seemed to be a LEMON.
