After around 25 years the bearing wears out and the turbine gets real noisy when the wind blows. This purchase was a replacement of an old turbine. Otherwise it lasted for 25 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I found it easy but time consuming to install, and I immediately noticed a difference in not only my attic, but also my house. My AC is now working less to keep the house cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! Very happy with this as a replacement. It has a lifetime warranty and should last FOREVER .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great warranty I have had 3 of these since 1979 and the top bearing started going out on all three of them so I called the company and they are going to send me three new ones. They are easy to replace as well. The top part has three screws that hold them onto the base part that is attached to the roof.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Iffy warranty at best One of two arrived grossly out of balance but with one quick phone call HD made it right so no complaints there. Read the lifetime warranty carefully and you'll see it is pretty much worthless. Had my home not had these things on the roof when I purchased it I would never have put them on. My research indicates they really do not accomplish much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excelent purchase I already had another wind turbine ajecent to the new one, Now they match and work like a charm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good venting, some wobble. I used it to vent my metal barn roof. It helps reduce the heat and looks good. My only concern is how much wobble is acceptable. I have never owned one before . I hope it last.
