Answer:
I asked the same question years ago. I have been told it is possible for rain to get in. But, it is very
unlikely, due to their design. With that said, one year with a very high wind, I think rain did get in, but
only once in 38 years. I cover mine in the winter now.

Answer:
anything is possible, but in 38 years I never had one come apart. What I do, after fasting the screws,
is wrap duct tape around it a couple of times, covering the connection.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as it is supposed to, but, expensive. Came quickly, box was not crushed. Pretty flimsy box though. Nothing was bent or damaged. Installed where wanted to and keeps workshop a good bit cooler. Atta boy for HD. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by well built I just replaced these turbines and left the existing foundations in place. In order for them to sit low enough I had to lower the screw holes, not that hard. These are built much better than my old ones. Spin nice. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It spins With a new roof why not put in a little more cooling. Easy installation June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product I think this is an excellent wind turbine for roof ventilation, in retrospect if you just barely need one 14" turbines, I believe having two of the 12" versions might be a better choice and more efficient at roof ventilation. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Roof Turbine replacement Exactly as advertized and I believe going larger helps for venting. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by pretty good effective and no need to maintain, but do buy at least two July 29, 2014
