The blinds looked ok, and they installed easily. But the gears that twist and allow the blinds to open and close are very cheap and made of plastic. It broke within 15 minutes of installing them. Had to take them back and didn't even want to bother with an exchange. Now I'm left with no blinds and 6 wonderful holes in my drywall that I have to repair. Stay away from these.

These blinds are an okay value. For under $25.00 it's kinda hard to complain about how much light passes right through the vinyl slats, but I would gladly have paid an additional $10.00 to have a dark room. Seriously, the vinyl is paper thin, and even ambient light passes right through; I guess the bast way to describe these is the material is opaque. You can even see the shadow of the window frame and door handle against the blinds.
But, these things installed in about 15 minutes, and they do provide privacy. So if you don't care about having a truly dark room and you just need privacy these blinds will meet your needs.

This was exactly what I needed. Brightened the area and made it look larger.

I bought these blinds to go in a window with a swamp cooler. I needed something I could easily trim and have privacy. I took a chance on these instead of paying $60+ for a rod that could be cut and separate vanes.
I wasn't sure if I could cut this down to fit my window width but it was very easy. A pair of metal cutters/snips and a hack saw was all I needed to fit my 5 ft window. Oh and a small drill bit to make a hole for a screw. The vanes were easy to cut with scissors for the perfect fit around the swamp cooler.
I did notice that one end of the rod that holds the vane clips has a smaller end so be careful when trimming it down to fit a smaller window or door. I cut the end furthest away from the pull. Now to see if my husband notices! I will be going back to the store to pick up another one for the other window.

It was easier to *not* follow the instructions, and attach the blades, then, attach the outer top covering piece. I drilled into both sheetrock and wood. The materials included *do not* include the #8 drywall anchors, which the instructions "recommend", but are not included (the instruction's list of parts do not note that the screw size is #8). The instruction diagram shows two mounting points, but there are three mounts included. So you must deduce that all three can and should be used, one in the middle, and the other two on each end.
I did not install the blind next to the controller, If your allow the control rod to bump up against any of the blinds, they will pop loose. If you "push" the control rod when opening them, without touching the blinds, then there is no problem when you open the blinds to go out to the patio.

These aren't your plush high-end vertical blinds. However, these are a nice, flexible, durable, cleanable PVC type vertical blind set. I recommend them if you have kids or dogs! They install quick and trim to exact size easily with a utility knife or sharp scissors. They seem to offer quite a bit of insulation which surprised me. They really hold in the heat during the cold months. I saw in the store that I can get replacement vertical strips for cheap any time one breaks (which hasn't happened yet) right in the store without having to order them. For the price these can't be beat.

I got these to replace blinds damaged by prior tenants in a rental house. I didn't want to spend much on replacement blinds figuring these too will be carelessly destroyed, so the low price makes this a good deal. I would however never buy these for my own home, the blinds are translucent in every sense of the word, so I would never use these in a bedroom I wanted to sleep in.
