If you love the look of a custom built dollhouse, but, like me, don't have a lot of time to build one from scratch, this one is for you. I had it assembled in a little over an hour, and felt like I had really accomplished something! The paint, wallpaper and finish are just perfect, and I was able to start "decorating" that evening. This would be a wonderful present for Christmas morning, because you could be playing with it in no time. Additionally, Home Depot has the absolute best price on these dollhouses that I have found. This house has given me the confidence to tackle a house from a kit. I can't say enough good things about Real Good Toys dollhouses and Home Depot's price!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rayo Good workmanship and easy to assemble.
Product arrived with one piece missing. Replacement piece arrived and it was broken. I repaired it myself rather than go through another request for replacement

although i built this house with friends (and my daughter loved it) it took considerably more than a few hours to build -- a few days is more like it. the pieces must be painted before assembly, roof shingles need to be stained for a realistic look, and most pieces required a second painting. for an inexperienced builder like me i also had to sand pieces here and there where paint accumulated. building this house is a wonderful project, but it takes time and patience. the good news is the instructions are probably the best i've ever seen. even i could understand them. that said, it's crucial to read over the instructions at least twice before unpacking any parts. label them with masking tape with number and letter codes, then enjoy. (unfortunately i don't know how to upload photos, but i can tell you the house is red with orange shutters and a turquoise front door. the trim is done in white and i finished one room -- the kitchen, because my daughter was a chef -- with a '60s-style tile floor and miniaturized wallpaper. i gave it to her for her birthday because i always promised i would buy a big house for her...this was as close as i could get!)
