I picked up the White Rodgers P200 5-1-1 day single stage programmable thermostat for my main floor of my house. I was looking for something that could regulate my gas fired hydrostatic baseboard heat. I have no Air Conditioning on my main floor. This product fit the bill perfectly. After reading the instructions a few times to become familiar with the install, I was ready to go. Installation went very smoothly. I only had 2 wires to hook up. The unit takes 2 AA batteries that are not included. Programming the unit went well also. There is an 800 phone number for any help if you need it. I am now ready to save some money by using this thermostat.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by trogo Reduces Energy Consumption and Saves Money
The thermostat in my home was installed in 1985 and is a basic analog unit with no night setback or programming features. To save some energy I decided to obtain a new controller, and decided on the White Rogers P200 Programmable Thermostat. The instructions are very clear and concise on how to install the thermostat; from shutting off the power, identifying and marking the wires, making the proper connections and operation of the White Rogers P200 Thermostat.
The White Rogers P200 Thermostat come with default modes for temperature setback settings in both heating and cooling modes. You can also customize the thermostat to fit your schedule. It also can be set to alert when the filter needs to be changed. After using the P200 for a winter season, I have reduced the energy consumption, and saved many times the cost of the thermostat. Highly Recommended!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Anthony Thermostat works well
Installation of this thermostat is very easy and it helps that the directions are very easy to follow. The overall appearance of the thermostat is very clean & simple. I like that there are not buttons all over the place because the lower door is covering them. The 5-1-1 programming is just great! 5 meaning Monday-Friday, 1-1 meaning Saturday and Sunday. I love knowing that I am saving money while away at work, & that the house will be comfortable by the time I get home. Programming it is easy.
My only complaint is that the screen is not bright enough. Other than that, I approve of this thermostat.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by HoustonWifey777 Good Thermostat, Great Price
Good replacement for an older thermostat. Sleek design. Very easy to install and easy to use as well. Basic functions that are simple to program. 5 days of the week the same, and each weekday can be programmed different. Large display with backlight ... easy to see during the day or night. Very good value for the money. Would definitely recommend this item!

I ordered this online because it was the same as the one I have in my home up north. The price was great, the shipping quick and it worked as I expected. I like having the 5-1-1 programs for weekday, Saturday and Sunday. The only thing to remember is to make sure you make the appropriate switch to either electric or gas. Up north I use gas. In Fl. I use electric. It wasn't working when first installed. Then I remembered to change it to electric and it works fine. I'm very happy with this unit.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MAMAWHITE Large display with back light is easy to read
I purchased this thermostat to replace my aging thermostat that had small screen that did not light up. The size is nice and the instruction booklet was easy to use. There are labels to tag your wires before you disconnect them from your old thermostat and a easy to understand chart that illustrates the wiring instructions. I was worried the set up would be difficult with the different program options, but it was clearly outlined, step by step in the instruction book.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gallus Very straightforward. Versatile.
You can't beat a digital thermostat for about twenty-five bucks. I've used this on a few installations recently. It will even handle millivolt, which, for the ancient boilers I maintain, is an unexpected bonus. (Just keep the thermostat wire runs short!). It's not fancy. Don't expect bells and whistles, because it hasn't got any. But it is reliable, even with old cranky systems that I always seem to be working on.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fizzie Works as well as the higher priced models and easy to install!
I think what sets this thermostat apart from the others is its value! The price is unbelievable for all the features it has!
I have an oil run furnace with baseboard radiators.
I took my time on the installation being sure to label all my old wires I suggest you do also. The labels are included which is very handy!! Remember what I said about the value on this thermostat!
The instructions are very good and should be followed closely especially in labeling your old wires. It runs on batteries, 2 AA's that you will need and it will tell you when the batteries are low also. It is a standard size and in my case it installed using the old installation holes.
The instructions for programming it are clear and what I like is you can modify the existing programmed start times for both heat and cool as well as the temperature you like. It will take a little time to get it all setup the way you like and going back to make any changes is fairly easy too.
The temperature can be changed, the program overridden, with just a push of the button any time you wish.
The back lit display is also very handy feature and can be turned off but in my opinion it is a feature I like and would not consider a thermostat with out one!
You can even changed the temperature that is displayed if you wish to make it higher or lower though I checked it against 2 thermometers I have and it was within 1 degree so very accurate.
I have control over so many settings its to much to list.
Once finished it has a clean neat appearance with all the buttons beneath the cover too except the temp up/down buttons which is handy and I use the most
