Customer Questions & Answers

Can this post be installed in concrete?

I understand the USPS requirements, but I want to know how the post is actually installed.
Asked by: Kate
Hi Kate, I contacted the WhiteHall company and asked how this product was installed in concrete. WhiteHall stated you sink the post in a hole, there are no anchors used on this. WhiteHall also stated that each product comes with specific instructions and that the mail box in suppose to be installed in concrete.

How does it mount to the ground ?

Asked by: James
You need to contact your local post office for required placement and height at the street. Generally, mailboxes are installed at a height of 41-45" from the road surface to the inside floor of the mailbox and are set back 6-8in from front face of the curb or read edge to the mailbox door. Dig a hole down at the mark so tat the top of the post is the same as the height required.
