Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by GoCubs Lifetime warranty... buyer be ware
I bought this mailbox based on its quality, looks and its lifetime warranty. It was premium priced ($399). It held up for approx 7 years, until one of the two hinges separated from the aluminum body. I contacted the manufacturer, Whitehall Products, and they were unwilling to honor the warranty. They indicated that the mailbox must have been struck and therefore would not be covered, which was not the case… so they are basically calling me a liar which I find incredibly insulting or they just don’t want to honor their warranty… so buyer be ware!

Whitehall does NOT offer ANY replacement parts for this mailbox. Someone (mailman?) broke off the mailbox door by accident. I called customer service as was told that Whitehall doesn't stock replacement hinges or any other parts for their products, which is ridiculous. If your box gets damaged or vandalized, you will have to purchase a whole new one. After shelling out over $475 for this box just 4 years ago. I have to shell out another $125 for a new box because Whitehall doesn't want to sell replacement parts. What a lousy business plan and customer service!
I am sure someone in China would be happy to send me 2 hinges off the production line, if I could.
Run from Whitehall!!!!!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by eliz329 A Very Roomy 4 Year Mailbox
I purchased the 2005 model of this nice looking mailbox and post. It was very roomy and easily held all my junk catalogs and even small packages.
In 2009 the finish along the top of the box began to peel away leaving sharp edged cracks and exposing greyish metal underneath. Then the magnetic clasp stopped working and could not be removed to replace. I replaced the box with another brand.
The post is doing fine in 2012.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Professional Love Love Love this mailbox
I love this mailbox. I had to replace a mailbox with one that someone drove over. The box is light weight but very sturdy and looks very impressive. The mail person loves the size of the inside. Very easy install. All we needed was a wood post from Home Depot to attach to the ground. However, this mailbox comes with the bottom post attach directly to the mail box which was not easy to find. After delivery I received instructions to get my 2 free placques that were offered, and they came 2 weeks later. They were easy to install and came with all parts.

Had to do some assembling and ordered the monogrammed lettering that goes with the mailbox and it looks great! Have received so many compliments. It is well made and the color bronze is true to the picture. It's expensive but it shows. Has great curb appeal.

I ordered it in french bronze. It came with the address plates and house number on both sides. It is large, sturdy, expensive looking and well built.

We really like the sturdiness as well as the nice interior size. It has a solid front closure. We ordered in the bronze which looks great.

I am so happy with my purchase. It was easy to install, and the box is light but yet very sturdy. The numbers are on order.
One thing I could never figure out from ordering online is if this mailbox comes with the post. YES it does, but you still have to get a pressure treated wood Post (about $5.00) and bag of concrete at Home Depot, Lowe's or mill yard. Note you do not see the pressure treated wood it goes on the bottom of the black post.
I would highly recommend this mailbox.
