The manufacturer should be more revealing about the characteristics of this faucet. This was purchased along with the Whitehaus under counter electric water heater. This faucet is designed to not allow the tank to be under pressure, so what happens is it drips or sometimes spits 190 degree water out of the faucet when the tank is heating. Not only wasting water, but creating a scalding hazard if you happen to be under it. This "Feature?" also causes a delay from when you open the faucet till hot water actually comes out. Another problem I encountered was with the handle on the hot water side not working as smoothly as you would expect from a $460 faucet. It started as a little roughness and soon became a grinding feeling that was becoming worrisome. I determined it to be the handle was cocked slightly and rubbing on the inside of the vertical part of the faucet. I was able to minimize the problem by tweaking the handle while readjusting the handle set screw. Installation instructions were adequate but the plastic hose clamps that were supplied with the faucet seemed too small and barely snapped in place. I've only had it installed for a few days now but I'm not feeling very confident. This faucet cost way too much to be having doubts right out of the box. Oh, also, brushed finish on the spout was not even throughout and had a blemish that should have failed quality control.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Surprisingly poor quality for the water There is a big design flaw to begin with. When the screws are tightened on the handles the handles tilt slightly causing a metal on metal grinding when the handles are moved to the on position. When the screws are left a little looser then the handles fall off after a little use. The first faucet came with too many finish flaws that I sent it back and ordered another. Instead of many finish flaws on the next one there was one major one but I decided to install anyway. Same problem with the handles but this time the hot water line occasionally expelled steam at semi regular intervals and discharged some boiling water at the same time. Actually pretty dangerous as it could catch you off guard. I thought this would stop when the tank finally reached its maximum heat but it did not. I finally felt the base of the faucet and the surrounding counter top and it was as hot as blazes so much so that I feared the counter would crack so I unplugged the unit and will send this faucet back. I'm moving on to an entirely different brand!
