I had this toilet WHMFL3351-EB installed by a professional plumber, everything seems ok but from time to time I hear water dripping from inside the toilet. I do not see any external leaks. Is there some thing wrong or is it normal.
Asked by: Ravi
This is normal. I had the same issue but the water level in the bowl will self-adjust like any other P-trap. As long as your fill valve isn't constantly running, you're fine.

Magic Flush 1-Piece 1.6/0.8 GPF Dual Flush Elongated Toilet in White is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 117.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A stylish and functional toilet with really bad instructions This toilet has a lot going for it. Functional with dual flush, efficient action, fired ceramic surfaces, self closing seat and lid and compact size without affecting use. And it has a very pleasing appearance. The installation instructions are almost useless and even misleading. Now that I have done one the installation of another would take less than 30 minutes. Here's how- 1. Use the plastic connector pipe piece as it's own template. Place it on the floor with the drain end over your existing floor waste flange floor bolts. Make sure it's lined up with the center line. Mark the plastic connector screw floor locations using the connecting pipe screw holes. Remove the connector pipe. Drill the holes in the marked locations. Place the connector pipe (with wax gasket) in position again and install screws. Tighten down flange bolts. Install a new water supply line to the toilet inlet. You may not have room to make this connection later so do it now. 2. Then measure the location for the two plastic L brackets that will be used to secure the toilet to the floor. Do this by setting a carpenter's square along the side of the toilet. Measure the distance from the center of the toilet drain pipe to the exterior mounting hole where the securing screw will go through the toilet body and into the L bracket. Then mark that dimension on the floor using the center of the connecting pipe rear hole that will eventually receive the corresponding toilet drain pipe. There will be two holes to drill for the screws that will hold down the L brackets. Each is 4 5/16s on either side of the center line and on the line you just located. Drill them and then install the screws into them through the center of each L bracket slot with the vertical part of the L bracket on the away side from the centerline and parallel to the centerline. Then place the toilet on the floor by carefully alligning the toilet drain pipe into the connector pipe hole keeping the toilet aligned to the centerline. Then you should find that you can install the stainless screws ( and their protective plastic sleeves) that pass through the two holes in the toilet ceramic body and meet up to the L brackets and can be screwed through each bracket using an electric screwdriver or drill. Snug them down but do not overtighten. Check allignment of the toilet relative to the wall. Install the decorative cover caps over them. 3. Attach the water supply line to the wall angel stop and the toilet water inlet. Tighten snug but don't overtighten. Turn on the angle stop and check for leaks. Place the ceramic tank top on the tank. Make sure the toilet fills properly. Check both flush modes by trying each of the two flush buttons on the cover top. You may need to hand tighten the button piece from the underside of the lid. Make sure the buttons are aligned over the plastic flush mechanism in the tank. . Mine came loosely installed and turned 180 degrees out of allignment. If so just rotate a half turn or so to proper allignment and then tighten down by hand. 4. The one piece seat and cover will eventually lock onto the plastic rectangular mounting bracket provided. The mounting bracket is first attached to the toilet by aligning it over the two small rectangular holes in the ceramic surface. It is attached by using the two odd looking bolts that have a plastic anchor on them. Make sure the sliding button side of the rectangular bracket faces the wall and toilet tank. Unscrew the bolts from their plastic anchors. Place the bolts through the mounting bracket holes, reattach the anchor portions and push the anchors through the holes in the ceramic. Align the bracket. Tighten the bolts which will snug up the anchors. Check the bracket allignment before you tighten it into place so that it does not move at all or slide. Then slip the toilet seat rectangular mount over the just installed bracket completely and lock into place by sliding the rectangular button on the already installed bracket. 5. Check allignment and that the ceramic toilet base is securely touching the floor at all points. Test flushing and refilling operation again. Success? You are done! They recommend calking where the ceramic base meets the floor. This will keep water from floor cleaning from wicking under the toil

It is a gorgeous product and easy to clean, but... the inside mechanism is poorly designed and the toilet runs constantly. We turned it off at the wall and have tried unsuccessfully to get the company to give us the web address to print out the owner's manual so we can troubleshoot. They have a phone message which tells you to wait for the beep and disconnects without beeping. Too bad.

This toilet is beautiful and perfect for my all white scandinavian inspired bathroom remodel, BUT it has kept me up at night, since it was installed 2 weeks ago, with all of the DRIPPING sounds and sounds of RUNNING WATER, it's terrible!! As I type this, I can hear the toilet making noises from upstairs. Nothing is leaking, but there is a echoing "dripping sound" coming from the back base of the toilet as if a big drop of water is falling down into the floor pipes. Also, as you are using the toilet you can hear a sound of running water coming from the back of the toilet (makes you think you are still "going") and the latest sound I heard last night is a "trickling" of water that continues for an hour then stops. I live alone and things are pretty quiet so these noises are driving me nuts. Very sad because my long awaited bathroom remodel is almost complete and now I have to remove this toilet, return it, find another one and pay to have it installed. My installer has 30 years experience in plumbing and bathroom remodels so this is not an issue with install or with water lines, its' the toilet. Also, the toilet water does not seem to “clean” the inside of the toilet bowl when it flushes so I have to flush multiple times, AND the seat of the toilet is HIGHLY static-y so all of the pet hair that is on my clothes gets stuck to the toilet seat. I wanted to love this toilet and still hesitate to return it but I am returning it since I cannot live with these defects.

I now hold the button down extra long, using more water, to make sure it flushes completely. Even then sometimes I have to flush twice to get it to complete a flush. I contacted Whitehaus and the rep was nice tried to help but the replacement parts he send did not help. I finally pulled the toilet and examined the tube or trap and it appears defective. I am just planning on replacing the toilet due to its unreliable flush. Also an installation note: Make sure the skirt does not interfere with the supply valve in the wall. The skirt is about 4.5" off of center.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best toilet ever This is the best toilet that I have ever had. It is easy to install, I personally installed this toilet in less that 1 hour. The toilet not only looks good, but outperforms anything on the market. After installing the first one, I liked it so much that I ordered 2 more (1 for every bathroom). The dual flush system will save a lot of water over time and the action is so positive that it instantaneously flushes. I noted that all internal parts are plastic, so there is no risk of rust or corrosion as in many other products on the market. My wife loves the seat, which is removable for easy cleaning and slowly lowers with a flick of a finger.

We wanted a dual flush toilet, one-piece and with smooth sides for easier exterior cleaning. We tried to get American Standard's Tofino but were told it's no longer available. The Whitehaus Magic Flush looked about right, was comparably priced, and was about twenty pounds lighter--good for single-handed installation. The instructions were minimal, with the print small and the diagrams indistinct. But that is my only criticism. I searched through online reviews and got clear on what I needed to know. I had to drill holes through ceramic tile, but liked that you get the plastic pipe extension with the wax seal all secured in place before setting the toilet. How to attach the seat was not obvious, except in retrospect. Will the design of the seat make it hard to replace? I hear grumbles from some reviewers, but l'm not looking that far ahead. I trust Whitehaus will keep them available? We've had the toilet for a couple of months and are very pleased with it. The low volume flush is quick, clean, and quiet. Compact but generous design, non-slam seat and lid, one-piece and easy to clean--all good features. We're happy with our purchase.

We have been using this toilet for almost a year now and we are very pleased with it. I did install it myself without any extraordinary issues (I am pretty handy and do most of the things myself), however the installation instructions and few measurements could have been a lot better and kept me a bit frustrated during the install. But nonetheless in the end it installed just fine. What I liked about the design of this toilet is that it has a separate manifold that you affix to the drain flange with a wax ring and screw it to the floor and then toilet connects/lowers to it and is sealed via rubber gasket automatically. This design lets you move/remove/reinstall toilet as many times as you need without having to replace wax ring ever time as you would have in the regular toilet design. Some reviews mentioned that after you flush there is a dripping noise which comes with the design of this (and many other similar) toilet where water drips into the separate manifold from the syphon, but I either don't notice it anymore or it can't be heard anymore. In any case this is not a big deal at all. My other concern prior to buying this was the proprietary toilet seat which comes with the unit, but it actually works really well and pretty comfortable. No complaints so far. The performance of this toilet is simply amazing! Dual flush technology works great and uses the minimal amount of water. Every time I use this toilet it keeps amazing me how it could possibly flush so much, so quickly with so little water without leaving any marks, etc... When I use my other toilets in the house in comparison to this one, it feels like they are taking in a lake worth of water before it flushes down. I do have 2 more bathrooms that are in need of remodeling and this toilet will be used for those projects as well. Very happy with the performance, looks and function.
