Answer:
This is normal. I had the same issue but the water level in the bowl will self-adjust like any other P-trap. As long as your fill valve isn't constantly running, you're fine.

We bought ours just one year ago and hear that dripping sound as well. My husband says there is a rubber gasket/plug on the inside of the toilet mechanism that is not holding the seal, hence water is escaping and the toilet starts to slowly fill up, making the dripping sound. I contacted whitehaus about getting a replacement seal, havent heard from them yet.

I have this happen also, but only as I'm using it, so I'm assuming, maybe incorrectly, that it is already beginning to purge before the flush?

Yes it is a standard high stool, however that is the only thing standard with the unit.. It has a dual flushing mechanism which saves water if used in accordance with it's design. You will love the unit if you buy one. I love mine and have since purchased a second one.

Thank you for your interest in Whitehaus Collection. The WHMFL3351-EB has a height of 15 1/8" and with the seat it is 16". This would make this toilet a standard height. Comfort Height is between 17 - 19 inches.
Hope this helps!

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 101 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst selection Plumber had difficulty installing, though he is experienced as a commercial and residential professional. The flushing is very weak and sometimes needs to be flushed 2 or 3 times. Do not recommend to anyone. I chose this because it is lower than most toilets. Poor way to choose a toilet! August 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by When things go wrong Really, as others report, find your magnifying glass before you try to read these directions. I also took two tries to get the layout right, which was daunting since this was installed on slate (which ate 2 drill-bits); but once installed, it was well worth it. The wife liked the smooth “easy to clean” design… (like the one time she ever cleaned a toilet), and we felt very proud to be “green” with the dual-mode feature. Then two weeks later I discovered we had a casting defect. It leaked. I contacted Home Depot On Line Support, they listened and promised a replacement would be on its way. That simple. Three days later, I saw a truck pull up, saw a guy unload a container and take off. When I got outside, there was my replacement alright… in pieces! I couldn’t believe it, called Home Depot, dig this: no problem, we’ll send you another. It arrived before the weekend (intact), and checks out dry all around. One more experience to report with the first unit: the tank quit refilling. I shut off the water supply to start investigation. On a hunch turned it back on without doing anything else. Bingo, that’s all it took, the tank began to refill. Happened once again a month later, same remedy worked again. How can I vote Home Depot for President for the way they handled this? They have your back; and then they have your back. July 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice for a small bathroom Compact, easy to install, working well but needs some adjustment of water level. As it's compact, the volume of water is not great. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Toilet You will need experience installing all in ones or a trusted plumber. The instructions had the wrong drill bit size listed for concrete. Should be 3/8 not 5/16 August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Big improvement! We chose this toilet to replace an old, traditional water waster. The install required drilling some hole into a tile floor, and it would have helped had the actual location s for the holes that connect the sides of the toilet to the floor were shown in the drilling layout, but it just meant the toilet had to be set in place loosely once, to mark the floor, so no biggie, really. The unusual arrangement of the outboard piping for the waste line had me wondering, but it actually installed easily. The toilet set into the new waste pipes quite smoothly and securely, and now, a month later, no leaks at all. The old flange was used to mount the waste line, and the full-porcelain internal glazing of the system means little water required to do a very thorough flush. The two-button design also impressed our grandsons. We'll take our cred anywhere we can! The new styling in the one-piece design means very easy cleaning and less mess around the floor. We will definitely replace the other toilet with one of these when the time comes. The dual flush mechanism is new to me, and a bit confusing inside the tank, but as long as the manufacturer has replacement parts available easily, it shouldn't be an issue. It fits into the old space well, and the added height make sitting on it very comfortable. The seat has a quiet, slow-closing mechanism, so no loud drops. We're very pleased with the water savings since we're on a small capacity septic tank system. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best toilet ever This is the best toilet that I have ever had. It is easy to install, I personally installed this toilet in less that 1 hour. The toilet not only looks good, but outperforms anything on the market. After installing the first one, I liked it so much that I ordered 2 more (1 for every bathroom). The dual flush system will save a lot of water over time and the action is so positive that it instantaneously flushes. I noted that all internal parts are plastic, so there is no risk of rust or corrosion as in many other products on the market. My wife loves the seat, which is removable for easy cleaning and slowly lowers with a flick of a finger. April 26, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Great But Performs So-So There seems to be a frequent drip, drip, drip sound...can't wait to see my water bill! My handyman had some trouble installing and had a leak the first go around. I do like the way the toilet seat is removable and the fact that it sits low but not too low. Looks great, performs so-so. June 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Great when it works - but... I have purchased three of these toilets over the past 18 months. They look good, when it comes to flushing, they are great. Unfortunately, if they need repair, there is no service. Parts cannot be obtained locally and contacting the manufacturer achieves nothing. As a result, I have been without a functioning toilet in my master bath for three weeks. Had I purchased a 'standard' toilet instead of this I could have repaired it in ~ 1 hour! June 3, 2016
