Answer:
I believe the height is 6.38 inch (not 3.38 inch) with wheels and 5.03 inch without wheels. The second measurement lets you know how tall the "fence" is and seems suitable for folded sheets but not thick bedspreads. I am hoping to roll two under my steel frame futon.

I have a piece of furniture that is 6in high and would like to put this under it with out the wheels. Would it fit? Would it slide easily on wood floors (perhaps with felt furniture feet to keep from scratching)?

Answer:
Hi Bob, without the wheels, the Underbed Cart would be 5.03" in height. Unfortunately, I do not believe this unit would work without the wheels. It's best to assemble this unit with the wheels. Hope this helps!

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Functional storage unit Unit was easy to assemble and dimensions were true to specs so fit easily under crib. May 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good rolling cart Bought two carts for storage of bed pillows for under the bed when not in use. Very easy to put together, less than 4 minutes each. Wheels work well. Only one draw-back, they are not that deep. Storing king-size pillows barely fits. Smaller throws are fine. Overall, good product. April 19, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very Flimsy Product I hoped this would be the perfect product to hold some shoes under the bed. Instead, it was made of very flimsy metal. The metal was not strong enough to hold the product either square or flat. It was returned. March 1, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Serves the purpose I bought the cart to use in my laundry space to move the wet clothes to the dryer (have front load machines whose doors impede easily transferring the clothes in my arms). It serves its purpose although it isn't truly sturdy. the bottom pieces (2) just sit in the frame and easily pop up and out. But, for the price and what I want, it works. For use under a bed storage, it would be better because that wouldn't require as much rolling around. December 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good cart, though nothing fancy Package was smaller than I expected, cart was fairly easy to assemble. It's not heavy-duty, but works great for some clothing or linens stowed under the bed. Carts were not completely square when assembled (slightly wonky angles) but still work fine. Not fancy, but great function. July 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The only non-plastic underbed cart we could find The cart was a little taller than we had hoped and could not quite fit under our bed (which has a slightly lower clearance, apparently, than most beds. But we like the construction. November 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great use for sliding under the bed Fits easily under the bed and just as easy to slide out when you need something. Not like the plastic containers where you have to remove the whole container to be able to remove what you need out. This way you only have to slide out a portion and if it's not on that end, you can turn it around while it's still under the bed. June 27, 2009
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by It is not strongly built but it does its job. It is not built for heavy objects but I was able to stack up lighter and smaller items. November 12, 2013
