Overall, this product is exactly what I was looking for. This machine was very easy to connect to my water source by adapting an extension to my existing water filtration system. The ice maker is even quieter than I expected, after reading some of the other reviews. The bin was full overnight (I through the first full bin of ice out, per the directions for the new ice maker). By the time I came back from work that day the bin was practically full again.
I have used about 5 bins worth of ice since I have had it and I do not even hear it dropping the crescent shaped cubes at all. I only open the unit to retrieve the bin and shut the door, after I get the ice I need I return the bin to the ice maker and shut the door again. I do this so that the ice maker does not collect condensation or humidity from the outside. I have had my ice maker for about a month now and have not had to defrost or de-ice the inside yet.
I am very pleased with this ice maker and would suggest you do your research to find the one that best fits your needs. If you are looking for a stand-alone ice maker to only make ice, that doesnât need a drain, crescent shaped and it doesnât matter that the ice isnât completely clear as some of the more expensive ice makers, this is the one for you. I truly enjoy this ice maker.
Note: For parties or filling an ice cooler, I will fill gallon zip lock bags a few days before and place them in my freezer to ensure I have enough on hand. I checked, one bin full will fill about two one gallon bags.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by F29K Easy install. We always have plenty of ice and no longer buy ice to fill ice chests for travel. Fills up overnight.
We love this ice maker. We bought it to replace the ice maker that quit working in our refrigerator in hopes it would make more ice. This one makes more than twice the amount of a refrigerator model. We always have ice to fill ice chests to take to our sons' sporting events and for travel. It was easy to install under our counter and began working right away. The bin was full of ice the next morning, and the machine keeps up with our family's daily use. We even store extra ice in our freezer. The ice maker door has a great seal to keep ice at optimum temperature and avoid energy loss.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by Bill Exceptional value for the price
This is a no frills ice-maker that works and looks great. The price is at least half of similar models made by other manufacturers. I plan on purchasing a couple more before the price goes up...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by bruce Cranks out the ice!
This was a replacement for one that I bought online 4 months ago, the original started making alot of noise and stopped making ice. I took the first unit to my local Home Depot (Summit Ridge, Reno customer service ROCKS!) and they returned the first unit and ordered my replacement, got the new one in less than a week and it hasn't stopped cranking out the ice! Its been about 2 months and no problems. I'll have to defrost the unit soon as it does build up frost. I've been stockpiling bags of ice in my freezer to take in my travel trailer as back-up ice on fishing trips, running out of room in the freezer lately. For the price you can't beat it, all of the other ice makers were $1000.00 or more and had to have a drain, I built this unit into a bar remodel in my basement and it looks great next to the undercounter fridge and new cabinets. I thought that the unit was made for under counter installation but it is only 25 inches tall, so had to build a stand for ice maker to sit on to match the hickory cabinets, not a big deal.
