I liked this brand cooler that we bought for our home so I bought their 'smaller' 18 bottle cooler for our vacation home. Some people said they weren't pleased with this product, but I had no problem with the first one I bought and I hope this second one will be just as good.

First unit failed, outside of manufacturers warranty but we did purchase the protection plan so got it replaced. The local service company wasn't much help (didn't return calls when promised) and the plan refunded our money when it was determined that the unit could not be repaired (all it needed was a new compressor and drier). I saw where others were able to get it repaired but I think they wanted to get me off their backs so just did a refund. Since the unit fits where the trash compactor was, we really wanted that unit either fixed or replaced. I called customer service and they were able to replace the item even with the price increase.
The new unit is a lot quieter and hopefully will last more than 16 months.

Purchased this wine cooler in January 2015, sixteen months later it stopped cooling. Owners manual indicates a three year warranty on compressor, however, customer service tells me it does not have a three year warranty. Must send it back to California factory for repair at a cost of about half of original price. I would not recommend this due to the poor quality and denial by their customer service department.

Our wine refrigerator quit after 1 1/2 years. Will not cool at all. There is no service or website for Whytner. I would not buy again.

Item arrived well packaged and was easy to install. Easy to level and thus far meets our expectations.

I purchased this unit in November 2014. By October 2015 it was making a loud noise whenever it cycled on and by Spring 2016, it would not cool. Funny how the warranty just ended. I now cannot even find someone to service this brand. I'd encourage you to make a different choice.

This is our 2nd model BWR-18SD. The first one stopped cooling after 2 years. Rather than have a big hole in our kitchen cabinet we ordered a replacement right away. I am sending the 1st one to Whynter in CA for warranty repairs and will keep it as a backup once it comes back. The 1st one came with a 3 year compressor warranty and I am confident the compressor has failed so I am hopeful I will get it repaired for free. The second one does not have a separate warranty for the compressor, only the 1 year limited warranty so I bought the Home Depot extended warranty. I will let everyone know how Whynter handles this issue.

When we received the product, it was very well packaged. When we opened the box, we found a large dent in the upper back. Because it was a built-in, we weren't concerned about the dent...it also would not impact function. After a week of running it, the compressor stopped working.
